I used to browse somalispot back in the day and I could relate to fellow Cushitic Muslims so the threads were entertaining.
In my city there were a few Somalis so I get along with them and also most fellow Muslims.
I lived in a black city so it was fun to meet a group of people relatively similar to mine With similar jokes in our native languages.

Nubians are like Somalis can be light to dark skinned but never 4c hair or very nilotic or Bantu features.
I have darker skin but my hair is straight and my features don’t look “black” so people don’t know what I am.
We don’t identify as black only by tribe and overall Nubian.
I identify with my tribe first then After that Egyptian.
