getting Old(er)

I can’t wait for my birthday in a few days when I’ll be hitting 21, but at the same time I’m surprised as I feel like only yesterday was I was 12 lying about being 14 to some online friends

I was excited to grow up at one point but I never realised that time keeps on going and I’ll only be getting older. 20 was a granny age to me 5 years ago, but alx I’ve lived to see it

Idk it just feels so odd knowing that I’m officially an adult I guess ? The only things waiting for me are employment, maybe marriage, and having no time. I miss all the wasted summers of my teen years but I’m glad they’re over too

I feel like this is really aspirational for me but I would love to pursue a career in art or literature, my back up is journalism or academia (fits with my degree) but honestly, staring at a screen for the rest of my life might just kill me early lol.

So I want to spend my last year of university trying to build a career in art/literature. Whether it’ll work or not, who knows. But I don’t mind just drawing/writing as a hobby instead

I also want to take care of myself better lol since I’m getting older I don’t want to deteriorate health wise

Resitting is so lonely but remember it'll be worth it. We'll be off to one of the world's most highly ranked institutions. It is going to be worth the extra struggle.

You'll be the best chemical engineer. I have no idea what I'll be but great things are in store for us all. I'm debating engineering too but I don't have maths .

Did your parents get an education? A lot of our parents didn't have the chance to get an education. As a demographic, we're highly represented in first gen uni goers stats.

I'm so behind with revision. I'm going to cramming all day once I eat. How is it on your end? What subjects are you doing?

Revision is going Absolutely horrid! Im either doing chemistry or chem eng (i firmed and insured both and Im not sure what to do). Resitting is so so so lonely oh my days this gap year felt agesssss. Im just happy its nearly over!

NO SIS YOUUU will be the best in whatever you do. You can always do engineering even without maths if its your passion, ill dm you!

i was revising all day biology is going to kill me awfff in 10 days. Im so mad i left exam prep till the last second and prioritised finishing content

This is what i got from google and yeah the grades are from A-E with A being the highest grade. A levels mean advanced levels.

Yeah like our SATs. Im not from uk lol i googled this. Oh i didnt know theyre 20 taking the test. It might be cuz they have something called college before university. Its a weird system. Theyll reply to u and explain it better.
