getting Old(er)

I can’t wait for my birthday in a few days when I’ll be hitting 21, but at the same time I’m surprised as I feel like only yesterday was I was 12 lying about being 14 to some online friends

I was excited to grow up at one point but I never realised that time keeps on going and I’ll only be getting older. 20 was a granny age to me 5 years ago, but alx I’ve lived to see it

Idk it just feels so odd knowing that I’m officially an adult I guess ? The only things waiting for me are employment, maybe marriage, and having no time. I miss all the wasted summers of my teen years but I’m glad they’re over too

What are your biggest aspirations in the near future?

If you lived you didn’t waste any time eating new foods, laughing, learning new information is never a waste

I feel like this is really aspirational for me but I would love to pursue a career in art or literature, my back up is journalism or academia (fits with my degree) but honestly, staring at a screen for the rest of my life might just kill me early lol.

So I want to spend my last year of university trying to build a career in art/literature. Whether it’ll work or not, who knows. But I don’t mind just drawing/writing as a hobby instead

I also want to take care of myself better lol since I’m getting older I don’t want to deteriorate health wise
