Yeah we need a road in Sanaag to connect to the port as well
Buuhoodle to Widhwidh to Kalabaydh to Lasanod. I think this is the usual route between Buuhoodle and Lasanod, and it's around 150 km.
Lasanod to Burtinle through the Hawd is around 100 km.
There's already an existing project that is connecting Galxamur in the Hawd to Garacad. That route is Galxamur - Burtinle - Buubi where it meets the Wadaagsin road. So there needs to be some coordination because that community project is ongoing from Burtinle to Buubi.
So the final route may be Garacad - Jariban - Buubi - Burtinle - Qoriley - Lasanod - Kalabaydh - Widhwidh - Buuhoodle.

I think they’re probably still focused on getting Sanaag more connected to the Bosaso port like with the Ceel Daahir - Ceerigaabo road. But all of these projects will definitely be good for the region

From Garacad to Buhodle through Galdogob via Bokh is 320 miles, and from Buhodle to Las Anod, it s just 90 miles, altogether 420 miles +/-.

BarSan (Sanaag & Bari) is a much better set-up, and with the completion of Ceel-dahir - Ceerigaabo road, just 180+ miles, it is a done deal.
Why not use the Bosaso port?
should be a seperate road from the wadaagsin project, garacad to burtinle then expand the road between burtinle kalabayr and ship to laas caanood from there. 334 miles.
That’s not really effective tho. LA is already connected to PL via the GL-Garow-Hargeisa road.
The most important road is the road that connects Garacad to Galkayo, from Gaalkacyo on LA can be reached via the road that goes to Hargeisa. Buhodle needs to be connected to LA, which is a mere 90 miles. Khatumo can pull that off within 3-4 years.
Should phase should be connecting Buhodle to the wadaagsin route in the Hawd.
For Puntlanders: road Garacad to Galkayo is essential
For Khatumo: road Buhodle to Laascanood.

This is a business and commercial collaboration. Money > politics
yeah but they want to be fms in the future… this won’t help they case… it will help Puntland both in money and politics…
Puntland with have better claim to Sool and Sanaag in the future than SSC if they go with this and not talk to Reer Sanaag to build port for themselves
