I'm almost 21, so not feeling pressure yet. My parents don't talk about it at all. On the other hand, family friends and friends keep bringing up the topic and it annoys me for some reason. I'm not going to act like I don't want to marry at some point in the future but I also feel no need whatsoever to share that wish with anyone.
Besides, I'm realistic too. The chances of meeting a decent Somali guy here in this tuulo are as big as randomly bumping into Obama on a evening trip to the local supermarket.
Tbh I'm leaving it all to Allah swtn Marriage is not something that is a priority in my life at the moment.
When will it be? When I feel somewhat ready and have worked on myself enough to feel I can handle the responsibility.
Until then I'm fine with zero interaction with the opposite sex. Won't be fun and I'm feeling left out already but I'll manage.
