98% in Advanced Functions. No one in all of Ontario got 98% back then. Not 1 single person. I swear to God the average for that was in the high 60s or low 70s. What a joke the school system has become.

The system is a joke now, yes. We worked hard for our grades. I'm an odey. Things were much different then. People were easily entering competitive STEM programs then with 70-73.

especially since covid 19 and online schools became a thing it got 10 times worse. I knew plenty of people who had 96-99% averages in highschool getting denied to tough programs like comp sci.

My marks actually tanked during online school because I just couldn’t focus in class or didn’t even do assignments because it was so easy to get distracted.

Even today I have no idea how they were accepting people because grades had no factor apparently. I made it into uoft meanwhile my friend who had a much higher average got rejected lol. It was so funny seeing obnoxious kids with crazy averages getting knocked down a peg

I knew a lot of Canadians at my university. I used to live with a lot in my dorm.

I mean I get why Americans come to Australia, as it’s cheaper than the states but why Canadians?

They will laugh so hard. Stop flexing because it's obvious the school system has gone to shit and I was correct in my suspicions.

They move there too. They go for adventure and the warm weather. I know a lot of former employees and classmates who are in Aus and Nz now. Maybe a dozen. Actually, a coworker of mine is moving to Aus in a few weeks. I thought they closed the borders?
