If you read the letter he has written to the donner countries he sounds like somaliland is part of federal government and threatened that if the special status is not stopped the regions will demanding it too that is typical somali mentality. This act although to some of you see it as a power play it would force the donor countries to make a decision r they going to allow their money to be used as power tool my Mogadishu regime or this money is for aid. everyone is aware of the situation most of the fund in regurds to this dispensation in somaliland is used for the democratic process such as election and voter registration. Somaliland will not sell it's sovereignity for few quids it has never happened before and it will not happen in the future if donner counties side with the Mogadishu regime which is not likely just like president egal cutting relationship with the un the current administration will do the same.
