FGS officially recognizes SSC-Khaatumo as a new interim Federal Member State

According to C/qadir Jirde, one of Somaliland's foremost intellectuals & an MP at the time of this video, Kheyre/Farmaajo offered Muuse Biixi the presidency and the capital at the June 2020 Djibouti meeting. Your elite laughted at that offer while knowing full well that secession was impossible. Muse Biixi Somaliland Vaseline uma marsan, mustaqbalkiina wuu wasay.

Such an offer will never be made again.

Because that's a childish offer that's was not feasible to happen as Somaliland's existence and the future path it's going to take aren't at hands of Biixi or politicians but the people and no offer from Xamar however nice it sounds for us will be accepted as our sovereignty and self determination is very important for us sxb :)

There will be no sovereignty or self-determination within the 7 borders of Somalia. Before what happened at Las Anod, I could see myself being ok with Dir Woqoyie secession. After what Somaliland did, I think it is too risky to allow for the creation of an independent Somaliland with access to international arms markets. The insanity of Isaaq rhetoric changed my mind.

Status quo is fine while we continue to Increase our population. We will grow so large, Isaaq will learn to be careful.

Worse thing is each federal state has its own mini military which is loyal to that federal state.
Imagine if the federal state and the government have an disagreement. A state shouldn’t have the power to have its own army.

Problem is since the civil war happened, states don’t trust the central government having the monopoly on power.
Then they should build trust by creating holidays and museums to recognise the atrocities that happened in the civil war. Same thing europeans did after ww2

Too dangerous, it will open the underlying emotional wounds that our folks have. The civil war saw massacre after massacre, talking about it again will just unleash the hatred.

Average somali today is 15 years old, they will forget the fights that their parents saw. Best thing to do is get the parents generation to lay the groundworks. Our nations fate will be decided in the next 5 years. If Inshallah AS is defeated, there won’t be another group to oppose the FGS militarily and then real progress can be done.

Imo, its inevitable that Somalia will centralise after brief period of federalisation. States won’t be abolished, but their powers will be limited.

Then how do you adress the elephant in the room. The rabid qabilst hatred amongst somalis.

Its better we track through the painful parts of history so we can heal the wound. Than just let it fester and become infectious to the whole society.

I feel like social media is teaching the younger generations to hate other qabils. Even the diaspora is not free from this hatred.

Somalis have tit for tat fights for pasture or land, fixing ecological damage and rehabilitating the land will cool off the nomads. We won’t be fighting as much if we have food in our bellies.

Walaal, qabyaalad is engrained in our people. We feel immensely prideful of our clans. Imagine hearing your clan was intensely killed in the civil war. You would become angry and resent the clan who did it. Somalis have fought each other for eons and nobody truly remembers the wars of the past. Thats how it should be.

Agree, government should have a degree of control of the social media. Don’t know why the tiktok ban didn’t work.

Inshallah.

Its inevitable if the FGS defeats AS. There won’t be any clan or armed group to oppose the government. I also think every leader of the FGS will continue some degree of centralisation but not completely.

What do you think they should replace it with?
A Technocratic government whereby the MPs, and presidents all need to be educated and not some low-life qabilist. Each state is cut into 4 with around 5 - 10 municipalities in each of the 4 new cut states. At the head of these municipalities are MP's Which are voted in by the people of the municipalities. These people need to have a full background check to ensure the people aren't voting for some taxi driver turned-minister. They must have an educational background where by they possess degrees and other formal qualifications. The presidency age is lowered to 30-35 as 40-year-old heads of state in Somalia are just retarded. They can't even do anything good. We make education the backbone of our society. The prime minister position is removed. We have a parliament whereby the president must be there every Tuesday and Thursday to get questioned harshly on what they are doing to increase GDP and economic opportunity. Power sharing is key. We have a Supreme Court. The Upper house is dismantled with only the Lower house or MP house still in use. People can create parties and these select parties can run for status in the parliament. There's a 3-way system between the president - the Supreme Court - and Parliament so their power amounts to 100/3 = 33.33% each. With that we can create institutions and JOBS are created.

Feel free to back adjustments
