Somalia became a Turkish colony, the airport for the Turks, the port for the Turks, and now the sea
Your whole understanding of geopolitics is that of a child (goes for others on here too). By your logic I guess the UK is a UAE colony and Australia a Chinese colony, your half wittedness insults me.

Ahahahahahaha ahhhh

We and Eritrean will move forward and advance in the cursed continent just as Japan did out of its civil war, we won’t gain as much as them, but our homogenous population will be an advantage. 🫡

Turks and Chinese can work alongside us, but with the new constitution they can only lease and we can take their property whenever we want 😂

Yes they get 30% of blue economy for 10 years.

This better not be true. Otherwise, we're f*cked :mjkkk:

None of the of the oil- and gas companies that have contracts with FGS are Turkish, which means a separate cut of the revenue for them. The profit-sharing are usually high in the early stages for these entities to recoup expenses for exploration and drilling. Not including corruption and other factors, I'm afraid that only a fraction of revenue will end up in state coffers for development.

I hope there's more to this agreement that we don't know yet.

We’ll get a genuine return on this one way or another. To even obtain such resources they’d have to build upon that 70% to begin with, meaning they’ll have to develop our blue economy. While at the same time giving us a navy, ports, and deep-sea faring capabilities. The Turks are not UAE, literally every project they’ve had for Somalia has been in earnest.

🙏

The only reason why this was signed at the first place was because of the Oil. 30% translates to billions of dollars going to Turkey for the next 10 years. Turkey hasn’t done anything for our economy. Why would they? They are struggling back home themselves. Ask your local Turkish brother working in the Kebab shop what he thinks of Erdogan and Turkey. The lira is literally plummeting as we speak. They are suffering from high inflation. InshaAllah the next administration can scrap this deal. My oil is lamataabtaan!!

@Pastoralist I just hope that there's more transparency to these type of far-reaching agreements moving forward. Not saying that this isn't in our interests, but if we're binding ourselves to deal lasting a decade, involving the country's recourses, then the public needs to know more about what it entails before they push it through parliament on the same day. At the end of the day, the most important aspect is making sure that it's grounded in mutually beneficial terms, first and foremost for the country. And secondly, our counterparts.
