Farmaajo is doing this for personal gain but it’s the right move.

Many ships the EU protects are illegal fishing trawlers and dumping ships. They’re registered as ships heading to Mombassa with “shipping cargo” and will dump stuff on the way.

If Rooble really has Somali interests at heart, he should renegotiate the contract with the EU to allow random checks of boats with SNA oversight.
