Women ruling a nation is not unusual at all, it has occurred countless times throughout history. If the woman in question is educated and politically savvy then I see no big issue with it.

Who knows maybe a woman's intuition for peace and order might do Somalia some good

i dont want to speak bad about scholars but most scholars in somalia only feel safe telling woman what to do. I do agree yes it is haram for women to become president, but It's getting annoying how they only try to constantly enforce women, but men doing all that haram in plain view is ignore even though its destroying society (I wont include alshabab since that is a death sentence) and if you want to get technical the somali government is backed by kufar (un) and rules by other than what Allah revealed....

I only listen to somali ulemas and I don't even hear them talk about women except few times. Where does this assumption that somali ulemas only try to correct women but not men?
