She obviously needs to start exercising. But that isn’t the extent of her problem, bc if that were the case it wouldn’t explain the plenty of women who look like her, or worse and yet are still in relationships.
The fact is, there are differences in the metrics women and men generally measure each other by.
Many women tend to have a problem dating less educated and less ambitious men. She may very well have ruled out men who did want her, but didn’t meet her own metrics. She made the cornerstone of her speech about her achievements, and it is something worth valuing, but clearly its more important to her than it is to the men she’s trying to appeal to.
On the flip side, there are many men who would approach her otherwise (without the PhD), but automatically rule themselves out precisely bc they feel emasculated by it.
It’s actually becoming a societal problem of sorts as women become more extensively educated and men are graduating less.
I will probably end up like her (I plan to buy a house myself and have a high-paying job, which scares most men off from the jump).
