This asshole didn't achieve one of his election promises.

1. No national defense force
2. No one man one vote
3. Finish the constitution
4. Decentralize the govt according to federalism

Not a single achievement, I am not sure where these clans are to answer why their leader achieved not a single thing. This was a wasted 4 years, yet again. We wasted 8 years with hassan sheikh and farmajo, at least with sharif he transitioned the govt to become official. Come on you farmajo supporters, when u are held to accountability u see how u fail?

Bro, you always criticize but never propose solution.
Can Deni or any MJ do a better job than farmaajo? If yes why don't they try?

Bro legit question, who do you think should be elected next? There's literally the Farmaajo doppelganger that's a new candidate, Kheyre although has not been a president, he's a familiar face and I have been hearing a lot of negatives about him as of late. And don't get me started on Abdulshakur and the two mooryaans. Who do you think should be elected and what steps should they take to ensure Somalia moves forward in the next four years?

Thank god on the last one.

On a serious note, his administration was good in confidence building and professionalising institutions like the Ministry of Finance. Under him, Somalia has:
  • Retaken control of its airspace after 27 years.
  • Deftly brought wayward federal regions under control; no more direct flights to Ethiopia.
  • Strategically navigated the Qatar diplomatic crisis 2017 and avoided taking a side*.
  • Achieved an important milestone to allow the country's debt to be reduced from $5.2bn to $557m over the next three years.
  • Successfully resisted Kenyan attempts for an out-of-court settlement on the maritime boundary case.
  • Oversaw the integration and continued development of the armed forces. In March, the SNA liberated Janale, an important stronghold, from al-Shabaab.
  • Dramatically increased government revenue generated through taxation; the government's budget increased from $390 million in 2019 to $459.5 million in 2020.
Perhaps if you detached your mind from your qabilist prompt sheet, and actually endeavoured to research the topic at hand, you wouldn't sound so misinformed.

* except when qabil states broke rank and declared their support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia :hova:

Farmaajo is the best out of a very bad bunch.

He secretly sold four ports to Ethiopia and used the Ethiopian army to slaughter and mass arrest innocent civilians, many of whom were children, in Baydhabo.

Neutral kulaha. Qatar bankrolls Farmajo and he got into a spat with UAE with NISA even baselessly accusing UAE of a terrorist attack as recently as December. He wasn't neutral.
:mjlol:
  • Successfully resisted Kenyan attempts for an out-of-court settlement on the maritime boundary case.
He granted them not one, but two extensions just so that the case could not be heard in a Majeerteen headed court. Judge Abdulqawi's term is ending in February.
  • Oversaw the integration and continued development of the armed forces. In March, the SNA liberated Janale, an important stronghold, from al-Shabaab
The SNA are just as pathetic and toothless as they were when he took office. Countless soldiers have been sent to train in Turkey with nothing to show for it. Farmajo came in promising to defeat Al Shabaab and will leave office with them still taxing Mogadishu port and conducting more terror attacks than ever. 'Liberating' one tuulo doesn't change that.

The absolute state of this forum. Apparently out of context images punctuated by a Michael Jordan coli constitutes an argument.

Let's go through your points one by one:

  1. This has no bearing on initial my claim.
  2. Somalia officially claimed neutrality during the height of crisis, and rejected a $80 million bribe to break ties with Qatar; a rare moment where a smaller country resisted a more powerful one. Despite our stance, we still received $50 million from Saudi Arabia in aid and avoided alienating the Kingdom.
  3. Once again, this has no bearing on my claim. Farmaajo continues to resist attempts by the Kenyan government to settle the matter outside court. Extensions, which may or may not be in his control to prevent, do not change that.
  4. "SNA are toothless" and "Liberating a town from al-Shabaab does not matter" - pick one.

"Farmajo built the SNA"

Officially numbering 27,000 soldiers (but more likely composed of around 23,000), the SNA is riddled with ghost soldiers, old and sick soldiers incapable of effective fighting or patrolling, and untrained units. Although vetting procedures for recruitment now exist on paper, they are not implemented, allowing a steady flow of unqualified people onto the army’s payroll. Many soldiers do not own a weapon. Around 60 per cent of the army’s personnel lack any real military capacity.13

The SNA’s poor performance points to a crucial characteristic of Somalia’s army: it is more of a conglomeration of militias than a coherent fighting force. After its complete collapse in 2009, the SNA was reconstituted via a clan-based recruitment drive in which fully formed clan and warlord-based militias were incorporated into the army. Many newly recruited units were merely handed booklets about their new role within the SNA, and received no additional training or instructions about the chain of command.18 As a result, newly formed SNA units remained strongly linked to the dominant clans of their home areas. They continue to rely on clan leaders to receive any of the heavier weaponry for combat. Units are restricted in their geographic mobility, as clan leaders refuse to allow their weaponry and resources to be moved from their territory.

Look at this exchange, they got quiet quick.

Liberating a small town in 4 years is not something to write home about especially if there's 8 militia checkpoints between that place and Mogadishu.

Qatar's Ambassador admitting to bombing Bosaso was alright in Farmajo's eyes.

Farmajo did the minimum required as the sovereign leader which was not settle with Kenya, he doesn't deserve a medal for that especially since he gave Qalbidhagax to Ethiopia so don't make it appear he's more nationalistic.
