Farmajo rigging the elections with NISA agents

Farmajo wants to rig the lower house elections in the south with NISA agents as candidates or electors. Why are NISA agents running as MP’s when they should dealing with Al Shabab? Well done to GO for exposing this.

The sham elections are being boycotted by majority of Somali’s. Corrupt farmajo and his cbb has set the country back decades. It will take a lot of work to salvage Somalia after he is gone.

@En_Sabah Nur we should look to the UAE as an example to follow. We should copy their model of loose federalism plus redesign our federal level executive branch by copying the Emirati style of collective rule.

@Periplus sorry bro :lol:

The corrupt dictator farmajo must be removed from villa Somalia first, then we can back go to having discussions on how to move forward as a country. This parasite is bleeding the country dry, turning villa Somalia into a brothel and turning Somali clans against each other in the hopes of staying in power. The cancer that is farmajo and his cbb must be excised first.

Honestly, at this point let him be a dictator only dictators can build a nation.
Every nation was created by a dictator/king/queen.
Federalism doesn't work when the country is divided, only a centralized nation led by a dictator can build back the country. Eventually later on (when people are educated) you kick him out and get democracy.
But democracy doesn't work in a country like Somalia, we had 5 or 6 presidents and the state of the country didn't change.

Dictatorship doesn’t work in Somalia. We went through a civil war because an uneducated dictator took power in Somalia.

I can respect the likes of Rwanda’s Kagame, but Failmajo has no leadership skills. This guy was an adminstrative assistant to some bureaucrat in Buffalo, he can barely speak English or Somali. The low caste boon is not qualified to shine shoes.

What exactly has he accomplished over the last four years? In fact the country is divided further, al shabab is more dangerous than ever and corruption is at an all time high.

Siad Barre is different, he took power when Somalia was already a beautiful country with a functionning democracy, at that time the country didn't need a dictatorship.
But when the country is divided, I don't think that a bunch of corrupt old men serving 4 year terms can change something.

Whether Farmajo is the best leader or not is debatable but democracy and federalism won't fix this country.
In my opinion, Farmajo was alright (by somali standards) he just did what previous leaders did: Almost nothing. Only the private sector is building the country now, the government is almost useless.

@Odayga_Jabuuti

Dictatorship is not practical in Somalia. Both Somaliland and Puntland are autonomous and have stable governments. Both are doing good relatively speaking. They’ve created institutions, security forces and implemented democratic elections. The only path forward for Somalia is federalism, every region has to be able to take care of itself. Even that will take a lot effort and reconciliation. Somalia was on a good path until failmajo was selected.

This tweet below is from someone who is from Gedo. It’s emblematic of everything wrong with farmajo. His regime has prioritized fighting other Somalis, stealing aid money, selling resources to other countries rather than creating stability in the country and dealing with important issues such as following the constitution, improving security, dealing droughts and floods etc.

The problem with federalism is that the leaders of independant regions like Axmed Madoobe, have different allegiances.

I'm pretty sure that most presidents before Farmaajo were also corrupt like Hassan Sheikh and Sheikh Sharif so I don't see why he is bad compared to his predecessors.

The Situation

Djibouti is the least developed and most food-deficit country in the Horn of Africa. Recurrent drought and high food prices have taken their toll on this tiny nation, where 42 percent of the population lives in absolute poverty with 83 percent of those living in rural areas. The average life expectancy is 53 years.

Djibouti isn't the least developed and most food-deficit country country in the Horn of Africa, you should give that title to Eritrea or Somalia.
It's a desert so obviously drought happens and unfortunately high food prices are a concerning issue.
42% poverty rate is high but it's less than Somalia, Eritrea and Ethiopia.
Almost 78% of djiboutians live in urban areas.
Life expectancy is not at 53, it's at 67 which is higher than Somalia (58.34).

I have been to both countries (Djibouti and Somalia) many times and only a blind person would say that Somalia is more developed than Djibouti.

There are good and bad dictatorships, but we should compare each countries to their neighbours and Djibouti is doing better than its 4 neighbours that are either in a civil war (Somalia Yemen or Ethiopia) or a communist dictatorship.

When I was saying that Somalia is better off with a dictator it's because the country is divided unlike Djibouti which is a very small country. Democracy doesn't work everywhere just like dictatorships do not work everywhere.

Dictatorships works in a place like Djibouti becuase it’s homogenous. It’s cisse majority and afar who are political langaabs. No other groups live in Djibouti in large numbers. Decentralization in whatever form is the only path forward for Somalia.

Djibouti is far from being homogeneous, somalis represent 60% approximately.
About half of them are cisse, and the country is extremely diverse with afars, cadaans, arabs etc...
Decentralization just doesn't seem to work in Somalia, you just have a bunch of clan leaders with each their own territory where they can do whatever they please and they will always fight back against the federal government the moment it starts to become powerful.

I got my numbers from elsewhere, just shows you that you can't trust those NGO exaggerating poverty statistics just so that they can collect more donations and get richer.
Those same NGOs are the same ones portraying Somalia as a place where people are dying of hunger when it's not the case.
I wish the whole horn of african peace and prosperity.

it’s time for the opposition to be serious and establish a transitional council to lead the country into fair elections.

There is no other choice but to first remove Sharmaajo and his perverted cult that is too busy stealing, partying and trying to destroy existing Federal States. Once that's done, we need a Transitional Council to manage elections and then install a real Federal Government to undo the damage of the past 4+ years.
