Farmaajo's regime was blocking a Flood Prevention Project for Hirshabelle State (beledweyne)

Yes @Pwyneth Galtrow walaal I am. This is yet another reason we need to have a very decentralized form of federalism like in the UAE or Switzerland. Like these two countries we should have a collective group of individuals that runs Somalia instead of having just one national president

Absolutely. I'm so glad that a lot of Somalis are starting to realise the trouble with centralising power in one office, we need power to go to the people, people who are in their own regions and are directly accountable and known to their constituents.

I totally agree with having a collective group of Federal Leaders who rule, this also eliminates the need for one capital city and also defangs foreign destabilisers who can easily fund a terror group to attack and occupy one city. If we have 5 'capitals', then if one falls, there are 4 standing who can fight back.

No country in the world operates like this. In fact countries are becoming more authoritarian like china. Even the west is becoming the same.

Every country is different. Only Afweyne orphans and radical Khawarij scum want a centralized national government

Exactly. Federalism is a must in Somalia.

You can see how FGS treated Hirshabelle from politicising the aid to ruining the power sharing of the state to make the people hate federalism. But the people of Hirshabelle are woke and it’s the FGS that is their enemy and not the federal system.

I don't think you understand federalismπŸ˜‚. With the national government in charge military, foreign diplomacy, education and budgeting and federal states are usually control their own budget which they get from local taxes and from national gov.
But reer baadiyos think federalism mean each qabils running their own countries and have their poorly equipment tribal militias and couple of jingaads in some dry desert thinking it's some kind of development.

Federal Government is not in charge of Education,

The only thing FGS has in charge is Border, Defence, Monetary and Foreign Affairs. The past 4 years they have all been politicised as Ethiopian Border in Feerfeer in HirShabelle and Ceel Barde in South West has been left open but Gedo one protected, National Military sent to rig federal member state elections and to protect Reer Gedo. Monetary, the lies Beileh told and creating a new note. And the failed foriegn affairs in Ethiopia good and Kenya bad that’s why Ahmed Awad lost his position as Minister of Foriegn affairs.

Education is Decentralised Alhamdulilah!

Education should be unified so it becomes Easier for Somali students to study abroad and same qualification for somalis from Kismaayo all the way to zeylac to compete with each other using pen instead of guns.

Your moryaan brain is incapable think like this.
People in Gedo are getting bombed by Kenyans and Kenya try to steal our sea full of oil and gas with puppet madoobe. They even claiming Jubbaland is part of Kenya in their media. Ethiopia under Abiy didn't bomb or steal land from us.

Monetary, the country is not yet stable with shabaab running around and tribal militias. Do you want Somali currency to be weak and experience hyperinflation. Dollar is good for now until we have the whole country under stability.

I'm not Hiraab however. Even HG are content with Galmudug only. Why do you MX need centralism to be relevant

Exactly.

They cannot survive in a fair system, because they don't want to build anything for themselves and they cannot accept the truth which is that they are a small or if I'm being very generous, a mid-tier sized clan.

They cannot even scrounge up enough men to defend themselves in one region (Gedo), so the fact that they are even on a seat intended for 'Daarood' is nothing more than a sick joke based on historic mistakes (Abdulahi Yusuf gave Marehan 2 seats that belongs to MJs and I believe Absame was also told to give them seats).

These small clans suffer from Napoleon complex, they have an obsessive need to rule over others because they operate from a place of fear and gaajo.

Central government does not work but Somalia-style federalism cannot work long term.

I am a big advocate for federalism as it’s practiced everywhere else in the world. Somalia’s style of semi-confederalism is only ideal in a civil war, when it stabilises we should move on.

After we stabilise, we need to rip apart this current system of governance and start properly.

In federalism, states and federal government control education.

Federal govt sets curriculum and maintains consistency across the country whereas states handle day to day affairs.

Spending is also split, states run the schools budgets and costs whereas federal govt can allocate money/projects to all schools.

Similar sort of thing for health also.
