Farmaajo's regime was blocking a Flood Prevention Project for Hirshabelle State (beledweyne)

Central government does not work but Somalia-style federalism cannot work long term.

I am a big advocate for federalism as it’s practiced everywhere else in the world. Somalia’s style of semi-confederalism is only ideal in a civil war, when it stabilises we should move on.

After we stabilise, we need to rip apart this current system of governance and start properly.

We should be like either UAE or Switzerland, two federal countries that not only gives a huge amount of autonomy to their constituent regions but also has multiple people jointly running the whole country at the federal level instead of having just one national president

UAE : Federal Supreme Council
Switzerland : Federal Council
