Those Iraqis really were ahead of their time, they were the ones who allegedly invented writing, were the first farmers in the world and have the oldest piece of literature/folklore in the world. Called 'The Epic Of Gilgamesh' in their ancient language.

The Middle East really is home to some of the oldest and most advanced civilizations, from Ancient Egypt to Mesopotamia. They used to be the top dogs of the Ancient world, look at them now.

Today I could never imagine a Middle East more prosperous and advanced than Europe but that used to be a reality centuries ago.

Hopefully the next Great Powers of the world will include a fully united Somalia, no matter how far into the future, whether it takes 100 years or a thousand. Everyone else has had their turn, it's time for us to take control and manifest destiny.

If that happens, then there is no excuse for Western/Central Africa to not become a major World Power.
