The lady had two kids from her previous husband. She was a single mother. Barkhad ran into her because she was a reporter. A relationship ensued. He knocked her up. She had the child and then threw the child away by setting the child right front a random house. However, she forgot to remove the sticker on his naivel (an identifier when the baby is in the maternity ward ). When authorities were called they discovered the maternity hospital. Hospital looked into their records and revealed the mother. The mother was arrested. Her family was notified. Her family demanded to know the father. She told them the father was the RISING SL POLITICIAN who received the most votes in the last elections. Her family is from a respected calm. Barkhad is from the low caste discriminated clan of Somalia. The family told him to pick up his child after the mother is done breastfeeding for just a year.

fast forward 6 months. Barkhad’s secret was obtained by his political enemies. They accused him of “behavior contrary to the national culture “.
instead of keeping quite or at least coming front of the press to explain things he pushed his mistress to speak and say “We are married “. She produced a marriage certificate.
Today her uncle came on tv to denounce this lie. He revealed how things transpired. How they had an agreement for Barkhad to take his baby after a year and to leave their daughter alone.

His wife had to come out by force to come clean and prove to the public that she didn’t unlawfully commit anything with him out of wedlock and that she had married him lawfully and provided the Mehr papers


Her name is Mushtaq A. Nano, a daughter of an former SNM Soldier, confirms rumors that she is married to a Gabooye and has a six months old child with him

Batuun & Naano speak against “discrimination” they face because he is Gabooye and she is Gx of South Hargeisa.

All which in turn riled up other Isaaq subclans for marrying to what they consider ‘low caste’ and for embarrassing the clan

The man is a member of parliament and spokesperson for the biggest opposition party and also won the largest public vote for an MP in Somaliland's history. He is also a trained lawyer.

She needs to come out in public and make it clear that the marriage is of her own volition and she was not under the influence of magic (she literally says "aniga oo soo jeeda, oon sixranayn , oo ku qanacsan") when she married him.

This is absolutely disgusting. especially in a community that takes pride in being 99% Muslim. to discriminate against fellow Muslims to this degree based on their lineage. This is to show, that even religion doesn't save one from Qabyaalad.

there is a famous proverb "Fiqi tolkii kama janno tago" roughly meaning "no saint would choose Jannah over his clan!".

This is gut-wrenching!...She even brought in the marriage certificate!
