Many young Americans are already rethinking their choices some are skipping college to start small businesses like landscaping. But even that market is overcrowded due to heavy competition. The same thing is happening across industries self-driving trucks will eventually disrupt the trucking sector, and many college degrees no longer guarantee stability or financial security. Owning a home is becoming less attainable, and people are being pushed out of the system by sheer economics.
That’s why it’s important to have options. If you have a college education, skills, or trades, those can be far more impactful in Somalia than staying stuck in a cycle of diminishing opportunities abroad. Real development doesn’t come from foreign NGOs or outside businesses it comes from the contributions and determination of the local and diaspora communities.
