True, you have a point there. I was just wondering what people thought? I think that nationalism is a disease to man. You can care for your people and wish them well but that's different to be a nationalist. The only good nationalism would be "civic"

The point is that, somali nationalists embrass the somali community. That is why they are saying these things. If you get rowdy and insult them you are only proving their point. You can be passionate about somali history and how rich it is. But never be a nationalist I beg you my brothers. Have a civilized discussion and treat each other as fellow human beings that is all I ask.
Amhara are going to get their time and day soon just watch. Look how Allah punished Tigrayans for their crimes. 10% of their entire ethnic group gone in less than 2 years. Let them keep barking. Demographics is destiny and Somalis are winning. Their future is bleak for them, they are going to become second class in their own country.

Funny to see Amharas claiming others as culture less. They claim Geez language which was produced by Himyarite Yemenis. They claim Axum & Najashi who were Infact Tigray. Their entire clothing and land they stole from the Gurage people theyโve assimilated. They are 2nd place in Ethiopia after the Oromos to steal the cultures of other neighboring ethnic groups .

I know little about Ethopia's ethnic groups. Except of the Oromo who are close cousins. What is the difference between Amhara and Tigray?

What I donโt understand with Amhara nationalist (I refuse to call them Ethiopians) is if they believe Ahmed Gurey wasnโt Somali and Somalis never did anything to them then why did they tell colonialists that they were genocided by a Somali man?
Why did they tell the British and Portuguese that their land was invaded by Somalis? In every single piece of historical writing from Italian to English, explorer or colonialist is one thing they keep repeating is that even villagers in Amhara lands speak of Somalis as though they were attacked.
How many innocent Somalis had their villages burnt to a CRISP for revenge over this? Only now in the 90s-2023 they want to start revisionist history? This B.S couldโve prevented the 77 war and every war after. Millions of people wouldnโt have died of starvation and the region wouldnโt be the laughing stock that it is TODAY.
Both Somalis and Habesha have extreme delusions of grandeur but with Habeshas they really do not give a toss about anything BUT to keep up their fake image of royalty. Itโs really pathetic.

Regarding the longevity of their culture they have a point, it's 2000 years old verifiable with unverifiable claiming it stretches 3000 years to 'sheba'. Ancient Ethiopia was the Kush and Sudan area that may of stretched all the way into Somalia way before habesh period which they can't deny without looking idiotic on their own kebra nagast. Their is remnants of cushites still there beja showing a 'continous' axis emerging, Somali culture is relatively young compared to them but the land is damn ancient as evident of land of punt-greek peripulus.
The only question I have have the same ppl remained here for the last 5000 years or has their been 'replacement' theory in that time or have the same people simply convert to new cultural axis developing in the region.
