They probably lived here for a while or their parents grew up here and took on the culture. But most Arabs I know have like 5 siblings and their parents had double. Once Somalis become settled in like 30 years the birth rate will drop

Even these cadaan grandparents had like 12 siblings back in the 1900s . With more financial security you make less kids and focus specifically on one or 2
