Ethiopia reveals Naval Base & Coastal Settlement location!

Fake bravado. Reer Awdal were disarmed by the SNM under the disguise of national army. All their weapons where added to the Somaliland army. If HG where this brave, why are they only the clan to be enslaved by another clan for 20 years?
Dude aint hg but understand throughout histiry certerain clans become powerful while others decline in power .
Ajuran vs hg is good comparison today ajuran are .5 while in the past even as recent as 1900 they were powerdul still had more power than all hg and abgaal combined

unfortunately reer awdal are what we Somalis consider "dad qaboow". If it was Habar Gidir living there, then you know Ethiopia wouldn't have a nice time there. But reer awdal are not used to waging warfare.
Awdal unfortunately is completely isolated and surrounded by enemies. No doubt if they were in the East, there would be no Somaliland administration in their land.

that might be just a small part of the problem. The real problem is I don't expect people from certain areas in Somali territories to pick up guns and rebel. Every clan is good at something, and guerrilla warfare is not what reer awdal are good at even if they weren't surrounded by hostile tribes and weren't isolated.

listen bro, drop the fucking qabiil name callling. It's qabiil that got us into this fucking mess.
let it go danyeer yahoow caqliga yar.

And it's true, Habar Gidir clan are fighters, awdal clan IS NOT, but they are the most educated qabiil in Somalia. They are the qabiil I would choose to lead Somali people. Habar gidir, Dhulbaante, Ogaden, those three clans are the fighters of the Somali race.

Habar Gidir because they fought Ethiopia in Mogadisho.
So the ICU where all HG? They got chased from Baydhabo all the way to Moqadisho and even in Moqadisho, it was hit and run tactics while hiding in buildings. Nothing to boost.
Dhulbahnate because of the daraawiish era.
They are great fighters as they demonstrated in Goojacade and during dervish times.

Ogaden because they fought Ethiopia the longest, and the most expansionist Somali clan.
40 Years and I bet my house if you can bring a single battle they engaged with Ethiopian army.
These are facts!
Just in your head

I don't know how to multi quote, but let me respond to each of your point.

ICU was all qabiils, but the qabiil that fought that hardest against Ethiopia in xamar in 2006 is habar gidir. Look it up after removing your clan lenses.

Glad we agree on the dhulbahante point.

As for your third point, 40 years is not mean feat but let me remind you that ONLF was preceded by like 5 other movements like WSLF, and Nasruallah which go back 1949(the movement that was started by sh Ali sufi and garad Makhtal). Also, if Ogaden clan are bad fighters, how come Ethiopia is now after Somali waters, something they couldn't accomplish just 5 years ago? If the ONLF were still active, Ethiopia would be too busy with them right now.

These are facts, but you are one qabiilist son of a gun, the type of bastard that has muse biixi mindset.

This is catastrophic, the consequences will be of biblical proportions for the entire region. A war will definitely lead to at least 60 million refugees. 60 million IDPs in Kenya, and Djibouti. 60 million refugees trying to seek safe haven in already overcrowded EU. The west sees the dangers that’s why all of them condemned this dangerous agreement.

The west is extremely paranoid that Ethiopia is now a member of BRICS nations. The growing list includes UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt leaving the west short of allies in the region.

I agree that the UAE doesn’t favor strong states who can threaten their dominance of influence. But why would they want to risk detoriating ties with Somalia when they already control 51% of Berbera port with approval of FGS?
We are basically uae colony and Somali people and the government is fine with this.

The 1 billion includes aid, i believe. So the budget is even less.
In comparison to Somalia, Ethiopia receives far more aid. All of Abiy's actions have reinforced my previous remarks regarding Ethiopia. Their inflation rate is an astounding 61%, they are economically bankrupt, and the birr is worthless. Ethiopia may actually collapse, which is frightening. Abiy has been pleading with the west for debt relief, but it appears that no one is willing to intervene to save Ethiopia. He hopes that by signing this base arrangement, Ethiopia will become more strategically significant and valuable. Currently, the only GOV that maintains connections with Ethiopia is the UAE.

It's absolutely insane how Bixi has offered land not of his own clans. Those that already live on that land will be displaced in their own country by foreign forces with the total agreement of their leaders. How are they not demanding his head.

What's worse is that people confidently tell me that Ethiopia will leave once the 50 years are up. They honestly expect me to believe that after a taste of the coast they'll go back to being landlocked they'll ho back to being landlocked.

All in all this is a sad state of affairs.

Interesting as Western SL’s coast is mostly shallow and not suitable as naval base or port. The only thing I disagree with President is the size, it has to be similar to the size similar to other foreign military bases found in Djibouti (2.5km of coast). Besides that, SL did a good job.

As for Lughaya, it’s a shared city but historically belonged to the Habar Awal clan untill recently (last 100 years). Anyone from AwBarre or Borama claiming it is their land historically need to re-read history

It is shared city between 2 dir brothers cisse and gadabursi, lol I don’t care if it was 100 years ago, a lot of isaaq lands were originally dulbahante, your not a Jew you can’t claim ancestral land deed

Shared between Samaroon and Ciise, the local council is split between 6 Samaroon and 3 Ciise. With 1 Ciise admitting to getting votes from Samaroon.

Forget Lughaya, Samaroon were in Bulaxaar 300 years ago.
