Would filter out 99% of ajnabis and closeted liberals:denzelnigga:
That would also spare us from many problems. All the silly shameful post in here are available for the entire world to see. If people said the same stupid stuff in Somali at least ajnabis would not understand

You should learn then. I'm not saying this in a bad way. Maybe creating a whole learn Somali section of sspot can be beneficial. It would benefit even me, i speak Somali almost like people back home but i could expand my knowledge more. Oftentimes somalis who don't speak the language are shamed because of this which is wrong. It's never too late to learn, and if you are Somali you are certainly familiar with the language. Just need a bit of practice to get use to it.
Make it then please

This thread is stupid, we are meant to beat non-Muslims at their own game, in fact language is so important it is the fundemental things to a productive and good society, if Muslims can master both their original language, arabic, and english, they can not only outsource all works in english for the world and counter anti Islamic narratives, they can be much more educated and empower themselves, your take is complete garbage and trash, we need the complete opposite, we need to become masters in the important languages so we can be the best society possible

I am trying to learn fusha arabic so I could understand the Quran better and classical Islamic texts. I feel like I am cutoff from my own religious tradition- I hate the feeling of not understanding my own prayers. Sometimes I would make dua in English - for sincerity. Any recommendations to learn fusha?
Don't learn grammer first, madina books are meh
Get an arabic picture book, I found one online can't remember it though, it has names of everything in arabic labelled next to a picture, that will help you learn words
use arabiyyah bayna yadayk for simple conversation
Watch alot of arabic cartoons, there are few with enlgihs subtitles, but if you can find it than do it
Watch english cartoons with arabic subtitles,
keep doing that for a couple years and start madina books on your second year of learning and by the 4th year Inshallah you will be very good
also find people to practice with

The fact anyone can go on this site and see what we are saying is jarring, and embarrrising, imagine a random cadaan goes on this site to see what somalis are like

Not only do we need to learn English but we need to make it mandatory to learn a second even their languages in schools. Before the war Somalia we’re civilized well integrated with the rest of the world since the war we are lacking behind because we’ve been isolated from the world. That’s why we have a lot idiots killing innocent people for the sake of tribalism.

Why stop there? I say we ban the latin alphabet entirely, and even the internet so our brothers and sisters don't get mislead by dangerous kuffar western propanga like Netflix and Mr Beast
There's a hammer and sickle under your username, shuuciga miyaad uu tageersantahay?

I’m all about dismantling the influence and soft power of Westernization/Secularism in the Muslim world and I think one of the most effective means of doing so is by banning the English (or any Western language) language from being taught in our countries. I cringe when I hear some stories about local Somalis who were born and raised back home insult other Somalis who were born and raised back home but do not speak English. If we adopt their culture (which includes language) then it creates an inferiority complex in many Muslims who will seek to imitate Westerners in dress, customs and of course, attitudes and beliefs which run contrary to Islamic values and beliefs. European armies might have pulled their armies out of many Muslim countries and granted them “independence” but there’s even a worst plague that’s worst than military colonialism, it is the colonialism of the mind.

The English language is not necessary to teach in Muslim countries. All the scientific, philosophical and necessary knowledge that is produced in the English language should be translated in Somali and especially Arabic Fusha (classical/modern standard Arabic).

Fusha Arabic (Classical/modern standard Arabic) should be the lingua franca of every Muslim just like Hebrew is the lingua franca of every Jew. The Arabic language is a symbol of Islam and it should be prioritized over every other foreign language.
@Abu Ash’ari,
I disagree, but let me first ask a couple of questions for clarity?

a) Does this include European Muslims including Turks, Bosnians, and other native European Musims in France, UK etc? If no, the premise of your argument presumes there are no Muslims in Europe, which is a fallacy. From what I have observed I am of the opinion Muslims in Europe, and elsewherein the West are truelly the de facto [Muslims] whereas those in the Muslim world are so by accident, if name. A good example is Gulf States where Islam is not being taught at schools.

b) You seem to be assuming Muslims are an island unto themselves. Reflect for a moment, how Muslims would influence other societies and cultures, if they do not learn their languages, exchange "ideas", and teach them theirs?

i) How would great minds the likes of ibn Sina (modern medicine), al Kindi (maths - awarding the world Bhrami numericals adopted from the Muslim Mughal empire of Hindustan), and others of Persian extraction be influenced by earlier Muslims, or influence Muslims, and non-Muslims alike? How would scholars like of Mohamed Assad be influenced, if one does not converse in English with him?

Here are the reasons:
b) Muslims derive a great of deal of knowledge and wisdom from being exposed to other societies and cultures, especially those they share close proximity, and history. After all, Iberia was one of the cradles of Muslim civilisation.

i) Here, your assumption comes across as shortsighted, if flawed, and one could go as far as to cite it xenophobic.

Postscript:
c) I agree every Muslim ought to learn Fusha, and unless there is a similar renaissance as that of Harun al Rashid, where knowledge was trasfered from foreign languages including Greek and Latin, and transcribed in Arabic, Muslims would be handicapped in industry and technology.

d) I would be so bold as to advise Muslims to learn Chinese, for doing so shall advance their exchange with those in the Sino sphere, and influence.

e) On the question concerning Western decadency, perhaps Muslims ought to do a better job of closely examining our beloved society rather than seeking scapegoat. From what I observed, there is now more debauchery in the Muslim world than in the US, of which majority, outside of the Coasts, pursue, or claim to, pseudo traditional norms. In its debauchery, Vegas pales in comparison to Dubai or Marakhesh just for reflection in less serious passing.

I shall halt there for the moment.
