Question for Somali people in Sweden:
Are you ever going to stop abusing the welfare system and at least try to start working? Trying to integrate into our society will also make life easier for everyone else. Many other foreigners have done so but not you guys, I don't know why.

But seriously, I think it will change drastically in the coming 10 years. Most parents haven't fully integrated and lack the necessary skills to make something out of themselves in a cutthroat job market. This does not apply to the new generation who is way better equiped to deal with their environment

Those immigrants that have been here from the 80's and 90's are generally doing well and don't abuse the system.
It's the current ones that do, not just refugees either. It cannot always be the governments fault, there are jobs, but most don't want to work.

I agree Sweden are stupid to think they can interrogate someone from a different culture and language.

For example you can easily interrogate in Somalia if you are Oromo because we have similarities in culture and even the language is similar, we even have the same words..

Failed integration policy.... I think not. SFI starts most of them off straight away.

The integration policy has not failed, only some people coming from certain countries tend to not intigrate. My neighbors are not ethnic Swedes but have intigrated okay and very quickly, not like those in Rinkeby, and live in the city centre.

The government cannot be blamed when this is a trend among all Somali's worldwide, unemployment rate is high, take the UK for example.
We are better off rejecting people from now on until those already in the country have integrated. There are many other foreign national countries Somalis can learn from as it is a trend for Somalis to not work and integrate.
More work should be done.

But why are other foreign nationals integrating faster? 2 of my neighbours are immigrants, one has been here longer than the other but they have both integrated well and work?
The new generation is more promising I agree, but not the older ones...

Hence why the government needs to think about its plan, otherwise having Somalis (increasing as well) in Sweden will not be feasible... the U.K. And USA can cope better.

The ones that have been here longer are Iranian. The others are from Eritrea or Etiopia, forgot which, but they work.

It is in Kungsholmen I am from I don't know if you know it, although not like Rinkeby, there are more and more immigrants coming here but they all do fine. Maybe it's the atmosphere and not being around to many other people.

No the integration policy failed.


First of you have uneducated refugees coming in, not economic migrants.
They get welfare and can live wherever they want.
They settle in a place with cheap housing and tell their whole clan and relatives to settle there to. Word of mouth spreads and enclaves are created.

Now fast forward and you have schools and areas with majority refugees. They don't interact enough with Swedes so integration and cultural experiences are limited. Their children go to schools with majority immigrants and face the same. Their schools are worse than other Swedish schools and this plus other factors means some fall behind. Then after school there are limited programs and little to do so they hang out in large groups of kids and teenagers.

Fast forward and they need money. Now they apply for jobs but already they have it harder at getting a interview because of their name and they feel neglected. They feel like the Government has left them behind and don't care about them, and of course when crime occurs the police comes in and without proper handling and procedures they now don't trust the police either.

Then you get gangs moving in and offering a community, a job and fast money. blah blah you know what's rest and it continues in a cycle.

If you have teenagers born and grown up in Sweden who live in enclaves and don't have any good feelings towards the Government or police that's when you know you've fucked up.



This problem doesn't exist like that here in Norway, yet there are no differences in the Somali refugees here and there. There are differences in the integration policies however.

Better integration and less welfare is the solution.



Also remember what I wrote is the worst case scenario and a minority situation, but it's the majority of news footage.

The problem with Somalis and welfare abuse is all because 'freshies'. I don't know a single Western raised Somali who abuses welfare. It's only fobs who do it.

Perhaps it will stop as time goes by, but they keep accepting thousands of new Somalis every year.

The vast majority of my family members work, pay their taxes and have no problem with the swedes and the swedish law. I even got cousins who came here 5-6 years ago and are now studying engineering at KTH and some Science(natur/gymnasiet).
De flesta somalier som jag känner är integrerade, är utbildade och har jobb.
