No the integration policy failed.


First of you have uneducated refugees coming in, not economic migrants.
They get welfare and can live wherever they want.
They settle in a place with cheap housing and tell their whole clan and relatives to settle there to. Word of mouth spreads and enclaves are created.

Now fast forward and you have schools and areas with majority refugees. They don't interact enough with Swedes so integration and cultural experiences are limited. Their children go to schools with majority immigrants and face the same. Their schools are worse than other Swedish schools and this plus other factors means some fall behind. Then after school there are limited programs and little to do so they hang out in large groups of kids and teenagers.

Fast forward and they need money. Now they apply for jobs but already they have it harder at getting a interview because of their name and they feel neglected. They feel like the Government has left them behind and don't care about them, and of course when crime occurs the police comes in and without proper handling and procedures they now don't trust the police either.

Then you get gangs moving in and offering a community, a job and fast money. blah blah you know what's rest and it continues in a cycle.

If you have teenagers born and grown up in Sweden who live in enclaves and don't have any good feelings towards the Government or police that's when you know you've fucked up.



This problem doesn't exist like that here in Norway, yet there are no differences in the Somali refugees here and there. There are differences in the integration policies however.

Better integration and less welfare is the solution.



Also remember what I wrote is the worst case scenario and a minority situation, but it's the majority of news footage.

What do you mean clan? Groups?
The problem is we accepted to many. Look at parts of London in the U.K., some places look downright appalling and ugly. it cannot always be the governments fault and besides, in Central Stockholm you can see it's not the case, many of them work, although I rarely see Somalis, unless I got Kista, Solna etc. for the occasionally shopping mall.

We can wait and see what the country does about it but I do not like the current Sweden and it is not what it was like 10+years ago, sadly

The vast majority of my family members work, pay their taxes and have no problem with the swedes and the swedish law. I even got cousins who came here 5-6 years ago and are now studying engineering at KTH and some Science(natur/gymnasiet).

And clan is a big ass extended family of sorts.


And it's the Governments fault when they don't do anything after letting refugees in. There should be quotas on how many can live where aswell as a a focus on helping people get jobs.


Sweden didn't think hard enough about what happens after you accept refugees. Of course with educated immigrants things are alot easier, but not everybody will be educated.

Things have gotten better though, did you hear about the guy that went to the Job Center asking for a job, and when they asked what his qualifications are he said he used to be a livestock herder so the Govt managed to get him a job herding a few Siberian Camels owned by a private person



Sweden should stop letting in 12 year old bearded alone men and focus on helping the teenagers in enclaves such as Rinkeby.

If the Government cut welfare and provided jobs everything would be fine. Thing is Sweden also has a high unemployment overall, which I know personally because we got Swedish immigrants in Norway stealing jobs

@sverige how do you expect a refugee that cant even speak the language to be working in downtown Stockholm in the usa more people are employed and or looking for jobs but it seems Sweden might not be interested in investing longterm in the refugees it accepts.

Yes I am, I thought that was established common knowledge from the first post I put at the bottom.

And I agree with the last thing, focus more on those in the country now rather than trying to be a democratic model for the rest of the world forgetting you are a country of less than 10 million.
Will be hard work either way.

making welfare dependent on learning the language and pursuing a job will solve all the problems. contrary to popular believe somalis are not lazy people, this is proven by looking at places where opportunities exist and welfare is low.

Found this thread when Googling my way through the sad news.

Question for Somali people in Sweden:
Are you ever going to stop abusing the welfare system and at least try to start working? Trying to integrate into our society will also make life easier for everyone else. Many other foreigners have done so but not you guys, I don't know why.

Majoriteten av Somalier jobbar jag har släktingar som är tandläkare, ingenjörer osv

Problemet är att det är nyanlända som utnyttjar systemet

Och dem som inte vill ta bidrag och vill jobba hittar inga jobb pga Sverige har för många fördomar mot invandrare speciellt på arbetsmarknaden om du inte har ett svensktklingande namn på Cvet så är det kört

Det finns invandrare som är läkare och byggingenjörer i sitt hemland men måste nu jobba som taxiförare för dem får ingen chans att eller möjlighet att ens komma på en arbetsintervju pga dem här fördomarna

Sverige är precis som det svenska fotbollslandslaget dem vågar aldrig chansa eller ta en risk istället kör dem med samma trupp
