The Egyptian army is a business entity first and only after that is a military force. They don't have good track record of winning wars or conflicts. In Sinai, their army suffered many losses against about 700 militants and were unable to dislodge the latter.

The Egyptian army is very good at siphoning money from their own people though.

I don't expect much from Egypt even if the GERD dispute comes to war.

Hard to sympathize with organ donors and I'm sure Sudanese folks don't have much sympathy for Egypt due to widespread racism they have faced for ages.

El Sisi is not at the same league with Putin and Erdogan. War is won at pre-planning level. I wouldn't hold my breath at Egypt winning Habashis. El-Sisi is nothing more than a puppet installed by Israel. He routinely licks Saudi and Emirati feet. It is not a sign of the great leader who could lead a nation to war and win it.

Egypt has been humiliated fully. They will never win this war nor will they win they Libyan front war.

Sisi will lose face badly but he's a dictator and doesn't care anyway. The best they can do is start a civil war or conduct espionage missions.
