Egypt Bans the Niqab in Schools

Not surprised. You can't even wear a beard in that country without being put on a watchlist. It's usually Muslim countries who have the most anti-niqab/hijab laws, ironically. In Tajikistan, for example, the hijab is completely banned. Of course, you'll never hear the media talking about this stuff though.
Yh in Cairo they have a certain type of police that monitor the streets on Fridays mostly and take in random bearded men just because they look suspicious, I know someone that was taken in to custody twice for that just because he followed the command of his prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم

Honestly, this the thing that annoys me about the Burqa.

As much as I do believe in liberty (if they choose to wear it then so be it)

-but this is about the security reasons which I have a main problem.

I can’t see your face whether you choose to wear it I can’t see you.

And as a human being I love to see the face of a persons face.

They are also a lot of ways where a Muslim women can dress in modesty.

Modest garments/modest scarf etc..

Just why oh why -do you have to limit on this sort of standard?

Subhanallah, everything in the deen is nowadays being attributed to “wahabis” even though the women of madinah wore veils too. If they want to wear it and be extra modest that’s their prerogative. And to compare them to dirt bags, you do realise that the some of the sahabiyat dressed in a similar manner? Be careful of the things you type and the implications they may have wll
None of the sahabiyat were mutabarrijat

I looked over egyptian reaction and most of them were supporting this ban. If you care about modesty then hijab is already enough. Good progress for egypt
Niqab is hijab , Modesty becomes enough when they're covered from head to toe. Those Egyptians supporting it were either liberals, Sufis or Ashaa'irah and those make up majority of egyptians

Egyptians are very wary of extremists and the Muslim brotherhood
:mjdontkno:
What does that gotta do with niqab beside the only reasoning I could muster is some groups of extremists wear hijab and niqab to
An excellent move by Egypt. It is reasonable to ban the niqab as it is a security threat, because you can't see the face like you would with a hijab. Somalia should follow suit
Alshabab are known to be crossdressers so I can understand if somalia did it but there aren't extremists in Egypt so it's hard to know their intentions for implementing this ban.

@Odious Delirium

Imagine supporting the idea where i can’t see the face of a persons face.

Give reasons
First of all niqab is for women. You don't need to see the faces of women your not entitled to that. Since it's not fard they can just have people to identify them preferably other women. It's not a security risk like some people like to cope with plus this give women more job opportunities within the security industry. Women should be checking on women preferably but if there are no women security can just show her face to someone else in security.

You don't need to see her face. Give me a reason why you should be entitled to see a niqabis face as a random individual?

To the people complaining about security risks, should this

be banned too or is it only limited to the niqab?

Yes it is security and dangerous in fact

“this gives women more job opportunities within the security industry”

How is that logical in anyway exactly?

this would put peoples business at security risk.

How can I to talk to you face to face when half your face is covered?

In a working environment this brings suspicion to the work force.

Also:
I do need to see her face as humans we’re social and visual creatures.

Is a complete social turn off to not see the faces of yours.

Muslims women have other modest alternatives: like head scarfs and other modest garments.

Why is this so important when there are other ways to dress modest???

Bizarre practice.

Kulaha I can't see your face and then using it as a justification for banning it. Warya, why do feel so entitled to other people's bodies? What's next, telling people that it's obligatory to reveal other parts of their awra?

This is honestly bizarre. I bet you're one of those who're opposed to being told to what to wear only for you to have the audacity to tell others what they shouldn't wear. Cajiib :drakewtf:

How about we let people wear what they wanna wear? The gaalo can walk naked and the honest believers can walk modestly.
But secularism isn't enough for these lot.
Enforced atheism is what they strive for.

Before they told us muslims, "let peoples wear what they want it's their choice "
And we did, and the women still dressed modestly.

They couldn't get their way with 'freedom of expression' so now they will force you to dress immodestly.
It's all a scam, there's no such thing as freedom. They want to simply impose their values onto you and the clothing of muslim women they see as opposition to that.

Secularism is dead the second these atheists realised they couldn't get muslims to abandon their values peacefully. Now they are using the law to achieve what their false secularism couldn't.

You said it better than me. Their hypocrisy is beyond comprehensible. I've always seen them through their bs, but I feel sorry for those defending state enforced atheism in the name of secularism.

Look at countries like France. When it comes to Iran's compulsory hijab law, they're at the forefront amongst the critical ones only for them to enforce infringement of religious freedom much worse. Forget about Islam as a whole, the aspect of modest clothing is what that bothers them the most (just like the user above). They are willing to continue until everyone is unclothed, no jokes. Mark my words, in a soon future, they'll push it much further.

insha'Allah by 2050 there wouldn't be a single woman walking bareface
I dont support banning niqab and I don’t support forcing niqab. Both are against the deen and set dangerous precedents.

This would never happen in Somalia though because our people are not Pashtuns. It would be 20 times more likely for Somali women to wear niqab because of skin bleaching than because they want to, or in your case, forced to.

Facts they claim to be "anti religion" but they never go for other faiths. Only Islam.

Islam is a threat to them, a challenge to their beliefs.
It's the age old European competition with the Middle East. Christendom vs Dar al-islam. Baldwin vs Salahuddin ect.
