We’ve been over this many times and it’s common knowledge N.Mudug and S.Mudug populations are close to each other with S. Mudug being more populous.

One thing that we can certainly throw out is this ridiculous 200k vs 900k estimate

@DR OSMAN It is a good start. These are local government elections so people are not as interested as when parliamentary elections are held. The stakes are lower. It will be interesting to see how much voter registration increases when parliamentary elections are held.

Also where is this 900k in n.mudug? How does one go from 300k to 900k in 6 years? Lol.

We’d have seen at the least Galkayo pass Garowe for registration. I’d say those 2022 estimates are beyond useless.

Lol there's no one moving to Xamar, the GM cities are even seeing more investment from xamar and local.

Again, another major predicament when people not know the country they are talking about, let alone its districts, and population centres.

A good example: one section of a 'xaafad' in Wadajir, in S. Galkacyo has the same population as all the other 'xaafado' from East to West to North. Imagine that.

Somalia needs an actual census all these estimates are pure rubbish and are off the scales as well as modified to fit whichever party is paying the most for the lies. I would suggest people stay off using those numbers. Dhuusamareeb district had 400k residents in 2014 and i 2021 it magically changed to 100K.

This is a a politically correct estimate from UNFPA.
Galkacyo district's population is ~2/3 Puntland.

All figures post 2014 are faulty estimates. None of them are reliable.

I’m not too familiar with the city as I’m not from anywhere near there but I’ve heard from officials that Sacad are the plurality but harti+Leelkase add up to make the majority.

The district control PL land size might be more but the Galmudug section is more densely populated so it must be a lot closer and you can probably assume it’s closer to 55-45 than 67-33 (2/3rds vs 1/3rd)
