Do you use sunscreen everyday?

Since the start of 2018 I’ve worn sunscreen everyday to avoid UV rays damage to my skin and to keep my complexion the way it is (don’t want to get darker no offence). I’ll recommend everyone on this forum to use sunscreen it keeps your skin looking young and healthy with no discolouration. This is why I’m 19 and people still think I’m 16
I use the brand Neogen which I brought from amazon for around £23 pound, it offers SPF 50 Protection and is also a great moisturiser as it has rose and raspberry extracts.

Why would anyone get offended at the fact that you don't want to get any darker? Discoloration/hyperpigmentation can be a b*tch.

But yeah, I wear sunscreen. I had a lot of discoloration around my mouth, chin and eyes. It's now all gone except around the eyes. Everyone should wear sunscreen. Growing up, I thought it was only a white people thing.

I never used sun screen in my life. Is that even a requirement for a Somali? I have used moisturizer creams during winter to help my skin remain moist but never a sun screen.

You Iz Black like the fuuto of an abgaal chief. Why u need sun screen lotion for your black african skin? The only lotion u need is moisturizer, to prevent, ashy- nastiness. Thats all. This pretension is very vulgar. Don't u know black skin has a natural protection??? Its called Melanin

LMAO Didn’t want to offend any BLM fans on this site and some people are sensitive to colour related topics. There needs to be more awareness on the fact that sunscreen universal black people can also get skin cancer from being in the sun for too long.

In reality, if you live in Minnesota, you need more sun on your skin as Somalis are diagnosed with Vitamin D Deficiency. Africans and people of African descent in Minnesota have this problem. The sun is not shining in the state for few months and few stay outdoors for activities throughout the year, so instead of worrying about sun screen, people should be exposing themselves to the sun to stay healthy. And a dark skinned Somali hardly needs to worry about sun burns.

But not having Vitamin D from Sun exposure is different from the Sun actually damaging your skin, enuf to seek protection. Bliss in the Sun Yaaqeee

By the way I also have Vitamin D deficient. Because i never go out of my home. I am an introvert freak.

I live in Australia and its pretty sunny down here.I dont wear sunscreen because idgaf about getting darker, i wouldnt even mind it even though im already quite dark. The weird thing is my 18 year old sister wears it all the time yet shes light af,i was told tho that she wants to avoid the tan line that hijabs get in the summer(Aussie heat) from being outside. Some of the tan lines I've seen are ridiculous

Coupled post menopause issues you are dealing with, you might need a wheel chair soon unless you do something drastic for your health. Women have it bad in general. God help you sis.
