Only a few select people. It's not wise to have a lot of people as friends. Acquaintances, sure. Not friends, however.

Why do you need to trust people. Do you have a target on your back? Is your life on the line? What I’m trying to say is you are not in a position of where trusting someone is a necessity. Just be a good person with boundaries that no-one can overstep and I promise you will have far less problems of people backstabbing.
