Africa has a stable plate and never experiences earthqaukes. Say mashallah. Droughts and famine are from low iq and lack of appropriate farming. Cyclones are good as they bring lots of rain, but the low iq needs to be fixed so we can store the water and prepare for natural disasters.

Somalia has had droughts for a long time. It can be permanently stopped if a dam is built~ 24 kilometres from Balcad to the north east to Galgudug through canals.
Though there are challenges such as sea level present if we built the dam at bay or baykool, balcad is lucky to be surrounded by an area of low elevation. If the plan succeeds, these canals could bring much needed water for farms to galgudud an cut out the flood problems of beledweyn.
Pay attention to the area north east of Balcad, an excellent spot for some sort of dam and then diversion in between those two areas above sea level
