Do you ever look at older somalis and wonder if they have ever committed war crimes?

Before that my grandpa was like 14-15 during the war, he didn’t participate in the war. And he’s the only son. His father, my great grandpa, passed away a few years before the war. My grandpa went to Middle East before the war and came back in like 81? Then he went to the UK for school.
This is Off topic but do u watch korean dramas?

Yes, my uncle told me he saw many in the late 80s in Toronto. Rival clans would beat each other up with metal rods. If you were related to any, you would be literally kidnapped and tied up in an apartment. This is also why many didn't bother going to classes in high school because they would be jumped. Teenagers and young adults causing havoc and bloodied faces on the 30 and 40 and 50 year old war criminals. There would be clan meetings to diffuse the situation and the cadaans would complain.

There's a former gaddbursi colonel that lives in my city thats known to have massacred sacad muse students back in the day.

When khat was still legal he had a marfish and guess the clan of his number one customers :mjcry:

His daughters were even good friends with a girl who claimed he killed her cousin.

Most Aussie Somalis came in the 1990s and were around 20-30 when they came.

Also the vast majority of Somalis in Australia are Harti, which were barely involved in the 1990s shit show
Your probably from Melbourne reer Brisbane came 2005 till 2015

Kinda colorist. My awoowo is a sweet, kind, dark-skin old man lool. But I get what you mean. Waaji aan noor laheyn. Dark, heavy souls.
In our Old religion of Waaq... the color dark and black was seen as something good and holy. A black crow is highly respected and black skin was considered beautiful and venerable.

In Arabian culture... they despise dark skin and see light skin as good... Hence why you see this in Islam as well. Somali youth today need to Know their history... Dark skin does not equal bad or evil just because pagan arab beliefs that passed into Islam say so.

My comment is very relevant to this discussion. If it triggers you, that sounds like a personal problem. Also... You're the true Gaal... our ancestors used to practice Waaqism before apostates converted to Islam.

Don't bother, this is an emerging Somali breed -particularly resulting in high concentrations of western rhetoric- that feels the need to create a "master race" in order to express their innate submissiveness and cuckoldry. Dangerous species.

My Abtirsi would put you to shame hunno. Why did you get triggered by me mentioning Islam having pagan Arab cultures embedded in it? Even the concept of Jinns are pre-Islamic.

Archeological evidence found in Northwestern Arabia seems to indicate the worship of jinn, or at least their tributary status, hundreds of years before Islam: an Aramaic inscription from Beth Fasi'el near Palmyra pays tribute to the "ginnaye", the "good and rewarding gods",[9][10] and it has been argued that the term is related to the Arabic jinn.[11] Numerous mentions of jinn in the Quran and testimony of both pre-Islamic and Islamic literature indicate that the belief in spirits was prominent in pre-Islamic Bedouin religion.[12] However, there is evidence that the word jinn is derived from Aramaic, where it was used by Christians to designate pagan gods reduced to the status of demons, and was introduced into Arabic folklore only late in the pre-Islamic era.[12] Julius Wellhausen has observed that such spirits were thought to inhabit desolate, dingy and dark places and that they were feared.[12] One had to protect oneself from them, but they were not the objects of a true cult.[12]

There's a reason why in the Quran it's mentioned that the faces of those in paradise is White and those in Hell is Black or dusty... In Pagan Arab culture they associated Black skin with evil.

In Waaqism, Black skin is considered divine and beautiful, a revered animal, "the black crow", has skin so black it's almost blue. In this religion, black represents intelligence and goodness. It would make sense for people who are dark skinned to consider dark skin beautiful lol. This is why I warn people, be-careful of what you consume because other religions are imbedded with their cultural norms and can make you self hate.

I am aware that "Black" is a sacred and divine color in Waaqism but where did you read that black skin in particular is revered? Never seen that. Not calling you out, walaal. I'm just curious. Also, the story of the Black Crow is actually an odd one in that it seems like the crow was colored black as a punishment:

The crow was once a sheikh or priest, and at that time he was white. But all the other birds made an accusation against him.

They said, "On the one hand he eats meat, and on the other hand he eats fruits."

So all the birds came together and said, “You are a sheikh or a priest! But what you do is wrong. The smallest birds should eat meat. And the biggest ones eat fruit. But you eat from both sides.”

In not only Somali but Cushitic culture in general, it was said that the crow was the representative of the Sun God called Wak. Oromos believed in the Sun God also. People believed that the crow interpreted what Wak, the Sun God, said to the people and people would send their messages to the Sun God through him.

The crow, when he speaks, says “Wak! Wak!”

But the crow became dishonest and ate from both things – fruit and meat, and so he was punished. They cursed him and he became black.

There's also another crow story among the Sidamo:

Once upon a time a fox was travelling along the road and he was very hungry, he had nothing to eat. He looked left and right and his mouth was looking dry, and he was almost starving, but there was nothing at all to eat outside.

Then suddenly up in the skies he saw a raven flying with a big hunk of meat in his mouth. And the fox decided that he had to eat that meat.

“Hi there Raven! Hi there!” he called out.

The raven just turned his ears, listening, and kept quiet.

“Raven, Raven I was looking for you,” the fox called again.

Still the raven kept quiet.

“You know what happened today,” the fox said. “All the animals got together. They said that they wanted a lord, and they wanted a king. So they thought about people and all of them got together and they chose all different sorts of animals and birds. So everybody nominated somebody else, but eventually they all decided on you. They said that because you are so black you are really beautiful. And the white patch on the top of your head is ideal for a crown. So everybody was happy, and they almost chose unanimously. But then there was one doubt. People said that maybe his voice is not melodious enough, maybe his voice is not sweet enough for a lord, so they thought that you couldn’t be the lord. But since people weren’t sure, they sent me as a messenger to investigate and examine whether you had a sweet voice or not. And actually I was on my way to your place, but by coincidence we have met on the road. Therefore I would like to hear what sort of a voice you have.”

Now the crow was obviously overjoyed that he was chosen as the leader and the lord of all the animals. Therefore he wanted to show the fox how sweet a voice he had, and he began croaking, “Aark! Aark! Aark!”

And as he opened his mouth and began croaking, the big piece of meat fell from his mouth, down to the ground. The fox quickly grabbed it up and went running away.

And he called back, “You dirty black devil! Who the hell would choose you to be the lord? In fact, leave alone lord, people wouldn’t want you to be their slave.” And he ran away.

It seems like a Crow's blackness is negative even though the color black is divine in Waaqism:

Waaqeffannaa is an indigenous faith of the Oromo people in one Waaqaa and it is one of several notable monotheistic and indigenous African religions. Followers of Waaqeffannaa believe in one Supreme Being called Waaqaa. They call him “ Waaqaa maqaan dhibbaa” (Waaqaa with a hundred names) to show the pluralism of Waaqeffannaa, “Gurracha garaan garbaa leemuu garaa taliilaa” is a phrase to show that Waaqaa has a black color, which in Oromo shows pureness as well as indicating that Waaqaa is beyond human comprehension.

Waaqa is the supreme being and is omniscient, omni-benevolent and omnipotent.[11] He is also just and loving.[9] This supreme being is addressed through a variety of names in the different regions and many believe that the term Waaqa means 'the God with many names'. The Oromo people also use the term Waaqa Gurr'acha to address the creator, which translates as 'the black God'. The term is believed to indicate that Waaqa is the origin of everything, is mysterious and he is the one that can not be interfered with.[10]
