Do you consider yourself to be a feminist and why?

Where does it say in the Quran and Hadith that men and women are not equal in the eyes of Allah SWT.

I’ll wait.
Qur’an 4.34: “Men stand superior to women in that God hath preferred some of them over others, and in that they expend of their wealth; and the virtuous women, devoted, careful (in their husbands’) absence, as God has cared for them. But those whose perverseness ye fear, admonish them and remove them into bed-chambers and beat them; but if they submit to you, then do not seek a way against them; verily, God is high and great.”

"When you’re making less than your male coworkers, subject to harassment based on gender and routinely face unequal treatment"

All of these factors have been improving in the west and the gap is already closing at an accelerating rate compared to the past.

"
According to Statistics Canada (2022), as of 2021, the gender pay gap for full-time and part-time employees is 0.89, which means women make 89 cents of every dollar men make. The gender pay gap for full-time employees is 0.90, which means women make 90 cents of every dollar men make.Apr 6, 2022
"

Modern day feminism mainly benefits white women and white supremacy in general. Only this time, it's not used to benefit white men, but white women.

"
As a progressive intervention into patriarchy, feminism has traditionally centered (white) women's experience, yet when sex and gender are combined with race, feminism tends to lose its progressive edge. We argue that (white) feminism ideologically grounds itself in a gendered victimology that masks its participation and functionality in white supremacy. By erasing women of color, positioning women as victims of white male hegemony, and failing to hold white women accountable for the production and reproduction of white supremacy, (white) feminism manifests its allegiance to whiteness and in doing so commits “discursive violence”. We end with calling for ideological intersectionality as a possible corrective.
"

White feminism is a problem, I’ll admit that but the question you posed in your original post wasn’t “Do you support white feminism”.

Your original post was “Do you support feminism”

Feminism is the advocacy towards equality between the two genders. Everyone should support that.

These issues of Free The Nipple and white feminism isn’t the goal of feminism, that’s beyond the point of gender equality.

White Feminism is one of the major factors plaguing modern day feminism. You can't ignore it. Every feminism movement has been spearheaded by white women that benefits them.

Also the free the nipple portion of my article was just a minor aspect of the hypocrisy of modern day feminism. There were other points in my quote from that article.

you're playing mental gymnastics at this point.....

You're question was "find me a quote that shows men and women aren't seen as equal". The fact that a quote that clearly states "men are seen as superior" basically proves your point wrong.

Again, it’s like saying Islamist terrorism is plaguing Islam.

White feminism is a massive problem but using it to criticise the entirety of feminism only harms real progress towards gender equality.

Men are superior because some of them are placed above others.

I could be wrong but isn’t that referring to the fact that prophets, which are seen as the best of mankind, are exclusively men.

  • One of the attributes of Allah is that Allah has no body and no gender. Yet Allah is always referred to as “He.” In Arabic, genderless nouns are generally given the male form. This clearly illustrates that in Arabic Islamic society, males are seen as superior to females.
  • The requirement that women cover their hair and dress modestly is demeaning and discriminatory. The restriction is used to justify mistreatment of women with uncovered hair, exposed arms, etc., by suggesting they “asked for it” by being immodest.
  • While many specifics of Sharia law (Islamic religious law) are not found in the Qur’an, traditional Muslim texts and practice are used to justify restrictions which limit women’s access to education, transportation, employment, making women reliant on men for these fundamental rights and denying women self-determination. In countries where this is the case, women and girls experience oppression, whatever the Qur’an says.
  • If lowering the eyes and softening the voice are recognitions of personal power and displays of humility before God, why are men not required to do it as well as women? The fact that this is not required of men demonstrates the expectation of women being submissive.
  • Unwillingness to question different requirements for men and women is a sign of ongoing oppression. Does something being done many times and having the force of habit make it right?
  • Acknowledging that Muhammad was ahead of his time, valued women enough to assert their equality with men, and changed their standing in society for the better, would he not want today’s women also to be equal with men? If Muhammad could see that the way Sharia (Islamic law) is applied today keeps women from opportunity, freedom, and happiness, would he want things done differently?

Come on, you're reaching at this point... @Periplus

According to feminism, males and females should be 100% equal in all matters, and that goes against our religion. For example, one male witness is the same as two female witnesses, but a feminist would say that they should be the same.

“…And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (two women) errs, the other can remind her…”

[al-Baqarah 2:282 – interpretation of the meaning]

In our religion men are required to provide for their wife and children, women are not.
In our religion men are allowed to marry 4 wifes, women are allowed to marry 1 man.
These are just a few examples, i could keep going but I'm sure you understand what I mean.

Of course, you need to know what that means to know. Though it may differ from one to another, since some ppl define feminism differently or have a higher demand to it.

If modern wave feminism focused more on 2nd wave feminism through the control of women of color, then yes that would be true progression.

However, when you have women in power that are white. They are just bolstering their position in today's hierarchy.

White men>white women> minorities

With modern day feminism

White men=white women>minorities

And? Those are direct quotes and explanation from the Quran.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make? Is this supposed to be your "gotcha" moment?

Good lord. The amount of deflection and mental gymnastics you have been using throughout this post has been mind boggling.
