post sources or this is hearsay. I posted sources that were recent are u blind? Mine was as recent as 2016. The citizenship laws in 2016 did accommodate the dispora, because somali fathers with mixed children were allowed citizenship while the somali mothers with mixed children weren't.

This wasn't passed.
"Below is a table summarising the key differences between the current law and the (proposed Bill.) "
Your own sources allude to this. It says "proposed". Come with the actual passed bill. I don't think anything changed.
As of Nov. 2017
"
Somalia: Whether persons born in Somaliland and in the Ogaden region of Ethiopia are entitled to Somali citizenship; citizenship status of women married to foreign nationals; requirements and procedures to obtain and reacquire Somali citizenship (2015-November 2017)"
Somalia for the W again.

It depends on what you mean by Somali.

Ethnically they'll always be Somali.

Nationally also.

However not according to our clan system which is really where Somalinimo comes from.

The proposed bill to changed the citizenship laws was repelled. Currently as of 2020 the 1962 one is the one that is our citizenship law. Alx we Somalis aren't cucks. Why change something that has worked for us since 1962? We won't appease kuffars and ajnabis. hell no.

Just like America has a one drop rule so does Somalia and Somaliland.

Look at the hatched areas Somalia is among them that means these are countries thag does not allow women to transmit their citizenship rights to their children and their ajnabi husbands; so Somalia is one of the countries that discriminates women who have non somali children; aswell as somalialand. in somaliland also its through Jus Sanguinis (blood right) the father must be somali. There u go if the father doesn't have somali citizenship the mother cannot possible pass it onto her children with an ajnabi. Another thing, having an abtiris determines that you are a somali if you don't have this basic requirement your an ajnabi.
:rejoice: Alx keep it that way

The reason why Somali men are obsessed with saying that their lineage passes through them and not Somali women is because they want access to non Somali women but do not want Somali women to do the same. It’s pretty much just hypocrisy, most of the mixed ones who tend to stray from their dhaqan and deen have Somali fathers it’s just facts. Personally even my half Filipino cousins are so out of touch with their Somali side and yearn to be accepted by their Asian half, my friends cousins are even ashamed to be half Somali and say their only Portuguese

Just cuz the religion and culture don’t work in your favor doesn’t mean Somali men are obsessed hypocrites. Put your feelings to the side and think rationally.

Another thing I find hilarious is that some of you are running with the false ass narrative that kids with Somali moms and ajnabi dads are more in touch with Somalinimo then kids with Somali dads and ajnabi moms.

A kid with an ajnabi father, could speak fluent Somali and know everything about Somali culture and history but would still be an ajnabi. This is always a touchy subject for females, lord knows why.
