Do you consider a mixed child with a Somali mother half Somali?

Amd if your mom is Somali then you’re just considered to be half Somali ? Okay that makes sense then. But is that still considered to be a huge deal or do the younger generation not care

You’re actually the first person I’ve ever seen that said this. Most of the time, the child with a Somali dad is considered to be Somali, but the child with a Somali mom is considered to be a non Somali, no matter how close they are with their culture and family.
That’s not the same and you know it, the only common factor is a missing father
For the men the kids turned out that way because they were all with ajnabi gaalos so if they leave of course they’ll follow whatever their mum is. If the fathers abandoned them with muslim ajnabi women then they would also follow their mother
For Somali women they have to marry a Muslim man so the kid will almost certainly be Muslim/ follow her footsteps whether the father abandoned them or not

It's because Somali lineage goes through the father, like kids who take the fathers tribe etc.. But technically speaking if a male marries an ajnabi woman or vise versa there's no difference both would be mixed kids.. I would even say some moms have more influence on the kids compared to the fathers, this means a woman's children are more likely to be closer to the culture than if it was a father since we're all more influenced by our moms as kids compared to our fathers.
