You can’t tell qabil by face but ogadens are the most beautiful because of beauty standards compared to other Somalis .

skinny tall women with nice facial features are more prized than anything. But we still have bleaching issues

Not really but I noticed ogaden, dhulbahante, isaaq and Gadarbuursi tend to be a bit more lighter on average.Other than that we look pretty much the same.

Is there a qabiil-phenotype?

There isn't. At best some clans may be a bit lighter or darker skinned due to geography. Somalis are the most homogenous ethnic group in Africa.

Mudug/Bari Tamiloid (dark skin Tamil look).
Borama Mota Farmoid (slightly more muscular and robust)
Sool, Sanag and Haud Cameloid (men with with long necks and limbs, prone to violence)
Bantoid
Bravenese
Bleachedskinoid

Nah anything from Burco to the east, most men are dark skinned. Maybe Hargeysa and Borana as the sun is not so harsh.

Hargeisa, Borama for sure and also ceerigabo maybe laascaanod. Most dhulbahante I have seen are lightskin same with ogaden....

All i know is tht ogadens are known for being tall. MJs are known for being short(dhulbhantas make fun of them for tht) and hawiyes are known for being dark.

Unfortunately, the bleached skin obese look is common in Somalia amongst females. I heard some males stated bleaching as well so we might have to update the list “malnourished bleached Luigi baastoid”.

Different beauty standards is what makes Ogaden the most beautiful out of Somalis not different looks.

Its like looking the archetype best version of a Somali when you see an average Ogaden

No ethnic Somali qabiil has a specific distinct look. If I posted a pic of a random Somali it would literally be impossible to identify their qabiil based on their appearance

It has nothing to do with clans, people from coastal regions will always be darker because of the sun.

I’ve noticed the opposite, the majority of isaaqs I know are medium to darkskin.

Voice is different. Tht could mean dialect and a lot of somalis can tell where ur from by ur dialect. My parents know which city/town someones from when they hear them talk. Its like how we know whos from texas or east coast
