Don't you know if someone is Somali by look at them?
Farrago looks Habesha to me personally to be honest. And Somalis vary in looks, we are not a clone ethinc group where we all look alike. I've seen myself many times different Somali couples having multiple children and they all have different hair textures, facial features and complexions, from the same mother and father.

Ofcourse I do.
But Somalis are diverse looking and realistically the average mathow can't tell.
Can't they? I have brothers ranging from very light to average dark. They look Somali to non Somalis(haven't been mistaken for anything else)

The ones who have grown up around/live in Somali populated cities can probably tell.
But the average black? Nah. Especially not in America.
That isn't my point, anyways. Out of your lightskinned brother and your dark skinned brother, the dark one would get racially profiled as black instantly whilst the other one would be viewed as either non black/racially ambiguous.
Lightskinned people in general tend to have their racial identity questioned a lot, thus the differing experiences. That's a product of colourism.

The light ones are never said to be black. Dark ones usually are though.

It really depends. Some black people think we're black just with slightly different looks and diff culture/religion while some see us as practically Arab (thanks to Arab bootyclappers that insist that we're mixed :snoop:

Also depends on where you live. In Toronto pretty much everyone sees Somalis as black people.
