E M35 and E-V32 are the same I think? Most Somalis have that. 70-80%. Than there’s H, J, T. And another Forget.
Took an autosomal test on ancestry.com doesn’t really do much. Got the same makeup as a typical S.O. Connected to other dhulbahantes, mjs, even hawiyas.
This test as most know factors in every family member which is cool but doesn’t really narrow down the male line too easy.
That’s why we (my bro) took the familytreedna ydna test. It just looks at the y line which passes only through males. That’s where we got the J1.
Somalis all married each other and these test prove how ridiculous it was and still is that we hurt each other over some bs........
......anyways, We May have came from Arabs but that 1 father and a whole bunch of Africans after that doesnt make you Arab.

Okay will do that. We did a 23andme and it gave us 91.2 Somali and alittle Ethiopian. That’s from my paternal grandmas side who is half Oromo I am assuming.
Yes but in Somalia, they are thinking no longer than 1500 years. But with further study we never know what else we may find. My dads line is insisting we are dhulbahante hayaag to be a bit more clear.

A lot of Dhulbahante settled in Bale with Sayyid Mohammed Abdullah Hassan (AUN) after the British Empire defeated the Darawiish. He is right.

A subclade that connects the Dhulbahante and segments of the Majeerteen and Warsangeli clans. It arose 750 years ago. Likely originated in North Somalia during the Middle Ages and seems to match tribal genealogies (30 generations ago).

Yes 100%. Once we get all results settled from the 3 men who took YDna in our reer we will share more info. One definitely linked to the dhulbhante cluster. Many are saying although you may have different hablogroups that doesn’t mean you aren’t the same tribe. And this tribe thing could be a coalition of sorts. The sad thing is brothers were divided to make new tribes but come form the same line....smh

Yes definitely not enough data! But time will tell. The more Somalis take it the better. There are thousands of Arabs who took it and other ethnicities.
