Djibouti is really developing

Partially true, but if you're creative there're plenty of lucrative opportunities.

For instance, a couple of months ago, they signed a $1B agreement with a Hong Kong based space company to build a satellite and rocket launch site over there.

Even though most of the country is barren land, they can focus on industrial sectors. And if their leaders were competent and not corruption-induced, they could turn Djibouti (essentially a city-state) into a regional financial hub as well as expand the service sector. As much of a stretch it may sound, look at Singapore for inspiration. Such as lowering their taxes, and become a regional tax-haven, by attracting investors that otherwise would have opted for other countries. Another key ambition would be, to limit import and invest in the country to not depend on foreign country for basic needs.

Despite the hot arid land, they can outsource it for renewable energy sources. They already have several projects going on (Solar, wind and geothermal), and aiming at becoming fully reliant on clean energy by 2030, followed by exporting it afterwards. They're already engaged in minerals, albeit limited, which they can accelerate and exploit their mining further.

After all, it doesn't require much to make sure that a country with barely a million inhabitants to reach a middle-income status and beyond. Unfortunately, they have had a stagnation or a slow economic growth lately.
Man, I immediately deleted that post. How were you able to quote it and dunk paragraphs on my head :snoop: :damn::dwill:

This reminds me of a time when I was in Uni. Homie and I both showed up in the same exact outfit and it was actually a good and thought out outfit. We both saw each other, paused, stared and he breaks the silence with "You're gonna have to go home and change."

But no worries, newbie. I don't mind us sharing a profile pic.

Don’t worry, I didn't understand anything from your conversation at all. May I conclude that the person in the picture is you? I read that his name is Abd al-Karim, and he is the son of the Mujahid Muhammad bin Abdullah... I do not know the reliability of the information.

It's from the book "The Warrior Mullah". A great read with good glimpses into recent Somali dhaqan and tariikh.

How the f*ck do these nigga have a higher gdp per capita then us?

Most of their GDP comes from the service sector, which amounts close to 3/4 of the entire GDP. It’s tied to their strategic location, as well as their free trade zone.

Somalia also has a bigger share of informal sectors, which usually isn’t included in GDP.

@mahamdov is spreading complete fabricated stats about the poverty level of Djibouti.

It is 75%

a single person in Djibouti shld not be in a state of poverty considering the rent income from the numerous military basis plus the seaport. Her population is 800k.

There’s no accountability with the obese dictator.

Here’s a true depiction
