its just that most people don't party like that in their 30's, so like you suspect she's just catching up with that lifestyle. This is very common with ex muslims, particularly women since they have been actively shielded from it. Hopefully she's aware of the dangers. I don't think that you should be worried because she'll most likely relax with excessive partying. Im not an atheist but an ex-muslim.

She's not an ex Muslim, she still says inshallah and other religious invocations. I will try and be there for her. I'll pray she's guided.

What do you believe in if you're not an atheist?

If a girl sends you pics of what she made for diner, does it mean that she's inviting you or she's showing you that she's a wifey material?

My best Somali friend is drifting further away from the diin. She stopped wearing hijab and only has gaalo friends that she drinks with. What can I do to get her back? She used to pray and guide people but now she is lost and I miss the old her. I don't judge her and we're still close but I will have to cut her loose if she doesn't change because she said she didn't believe 'in organised religion' any more which is so out of character. This is the same girl who used to debate people on the diin. I miss her.

What I would suggest is invite her to lunch. Talk to her, tell her everything you're feeling, how she used to be. Like @supz said, tell her you're there for her and you won't judge her. I hope for her sake she's just going through a phase. Remind her the beauty about our religion. I'm sure her old self is somewhere inside her heart. Tell her how much she has changed and you want your friend back. Invite her to religion lectures and Friday prayers.

Good luck!

She is telling you she wants to be Mrs. @Abdalla . No girl will spend time cooking and sending pictures to a guy unless she's hinting marriage proposal.

Good luck

Invite me to the wedding!

That's a tough one. Women are insecure about their bodies no matter what size they're. Since she lives in Africa, I think it's easier for her to lose weight. Your cousin should start hinting they should go for a walk in the morning and in the evening. Your cousin should also educate her on how to limit her carbohydrate intake. It's actually easy to lose weight once she eliminates carbs from her diet.

Good luck to your cousin's friend.

She told me to "stop preaching" when I tried that. She snapped at me even though I was literally just being myself which is btw not far removed from who she used to be. It's like talking to a stranger sometimes. She wears hijab to visit me because I always have family over but when I meet her she's dressed differently so I respect her for respecting my family and thats why I love her. In my heart of hearts I don't care that she's changed because I'm very open minded but my dilemma is that I feel like I'm betraying the old her. What if on judgement day she says I never helped her when she had low Iman.
