Difference in first and second gen Somalis

As a 1st gen,
I'd say that the Somali born in the West have more opportunities, they have had better schools and education than most Fobs.

But I'm glad to have had a larger perspective than them on the matters of Religion, back home Culture and life in Africa.

I'd say that it's way more enriching to be a Fob than a Diasporan but Diasporans have a brighter future than most people from Africa.

OP needs to define what you’re talking about.

1st generations are immigrants and 2nd gen is their children born in the West or atleast thats the correct term in sweden

Amazing story and you have shown great resilience. You are spot on about not going to the West youd have to start all over again and they would put you a decade back in education meaning you survive by doing low class menial jobs. Africa is the future and I heard many Somalis are doing successful work in Namibia and Zambia infact most are millionaires or atleast richer than lazy Western Western Somalis. You sir a true definition of geeljire I salute you
