I been saying this don’t sleep on Ottawa Edmonton and Calgary they on the comeup and remind me a lot of Toronto before it was poppin. Ok so Ottawa like a lot of cities are divided into 4 parts East West South Downtown. Most Somalis live in the South then East followed by West with the Downtown area having little to none Somali presence

I’m gonna say the 2 main blocks for the 4 different areas of Ottawa and give sort of a gang map. Sorry if I make any mistake and please feel free to kindly correct me

South Side
The south side is what we’re starting with today. Heatherington is a Somali dominant neighbourhood in the south side and is known for crime and violence. Unlike the east side which I will get to there’s not gangs but small groups of people that do crimes. Just two weeks ago two Somalis got arrested in Heatherington. Here’s an article about the shooting they did

The next neighbourhood I’m going onto is Herongate. Now all of you heard of this neighbourhood because of the recent evictions that happened here’s a video for those confused infact I advise you check the YouTube channel out too they have a lot of locals different views on herongate

the area from what I gathered has very bad living conditions and a higher poverty rate but is safer than heatherington.

That’s all for the southside

East Side
The East Side is a completely different vibe from the rest of Ottawa. It has a good amount of Somalis but less than South Side. It also has much more crime than the South Side.

The first block we finna get into is Overbrook. This place is near the st Laurent mall and is a jackpot for Drug Dealers it’s also surprisingly where Crizzy Crack is from. This is definitely a place you don’t want to walk through at night from what my brother says. The neighbourhood is divided between the obc (overbrook crips) and haram money. Crizzy crack is part of obc and Mario grinds is part of haram gang.

The next block is Vanier which is where Mario grinds is from. South Vanier is completely run by Haram gang. Pretty much Haram gang run north overbrook and south vanier while OBC run south overbrook.

In this video you see Haram gang members wearing red but it’s controversial whether they are bloods or not

From what my cuzzo says North vanier is Ottawa’s redlight district and that’s where all the pimps make work and get their grind up
