This is what I think (open to being corrected)

West London (Hillingdon, Hounslow, Ealing, Hammersmith) - Habar Awal majority

Habar Awal also extend beyond London now to towns like Slough and even further west as far as Reading.

Northwest and North - Hawiye majority, with signifigant pockets of Daroods (Mostly MJ's) in Islington and Camden and parts of Harrow.

East London - HJ centered in Tower Hamlets, but u will see Hawiye further out in places like Ilford

South/Southeast - HY plurality (Streatham, Woolwich, Lewisham), but closely followed by other southern clans

North, North West and E is Darod now.

I agree but I still think Hawiye is larger in NW too even in places like Brent Cross, Harlesden etc. Edmonton is also filled with Xawadles and HG's. Darood are more concentrated from what I've seen whereas Hawiye are spread out. Even Isaaq have their strongholds in NW like Wembley.

Ilford also has Hawiyes when I went there, I will take your word on that since I don't know east that well.

There's a simple (and less sinister answer) to this. Somalis have a very social culture. You usually chew with your tolka/relatives so that is this info gets around. I don't chew but my older cousins do and I chill with them when in London so that is how I know this stuff.

I agree if you were born in the UK (sounds like you were) there's no excuse to be chewing. It's rare and I don't know any second generation that do it.

Tbh though most of the guys I know who chew are decent, some are married with kids and all of em are either in work/school. All of them are fobs/not born in the UK though.
