Al-shabab are planning to completely move out of Hiiraan, Galmudug and Lower Shebelle. This is because the local population has become hostile. There is constants pressure from President Hassan who has directed Somalia's army and NISA to go on full attack. Local clan militias loyal to the government have also stepped up their attacks on Al-shabab as well as armed nomads known as Macawisleey. US trained Danab special forces have also started to conduct special ops raids on Al-shabab leadership and bomb makers. They recently captured a infamous Al-shabab explosive expert.
