No they have a lot of fundamental differences and the focus of their belief is based on history after the prophet asws not on the Quran.

Lol ofc the sects are close both share most fundamental beliefs but there are also differences. Main difference is most of their beliefs that are not shared with other Muslims are based off of historical events that have nothing to do with the deen and its hate based.

And I mean one of their pillars of faith is imamah, something not found in the Quran at all and is some historical events they believe in (doubt most of it happened at all).
