If they can find a good Somali family that is capable of raising him then it's a good idea. Many adopted kids develop a an urge to know where they came from especially if they are colored and adopted by white parents. That's why I prefer the kid to be adopted by a Somali family.

I am not familiar with Canadian law.
But definitely it should be a family that has the means to give him a good life.
Secular or religious people should be treated equally.
