Chinese reaction to the Christchurch Mosque terrorist attack

The Chinese views of the things happening outside their country are very skewed because the state controls the news, which makes their understanding and reactions to incidents very different than how we perceive and react.

They are humans who live in a completely different social structure, and thus conditioned differently, so this should not come as a shock to us.

@The alchemist

You made a valid point because if our access to information was limited and we all read the same stuff again and again, we would be programmed to parrot uniformly. This starts with the day they were born. However, something unique happened in Australia and it boggles me to this day. The Chinese and the Koreans in Australia tend to vote for the conservative parties here and several years ago, they became pissed off with the conservative ruling party. There was an anti-Asian political sentiment and they felt that they were neglected by the ruling conservative government and didn’t defend them. The Prime minister’s seat was in an electorate of a large constituent of Koreans and Chinese Australians. They’ve voted for the opposition party and the government lost power, but more importantly, it was the second time in Australia’s history that a sitting PM lost his seat.

Fast forward to the 2016 federal elections of Australia and there was an ugly return to race and religious (islamphobia) based elections and as a minority themselves, everyone expected the Koreans and the Chinese in the seat of Bennelong to show solidarity with their Africans and Muslim Australians and not vote for a racist party, but their leaders came out and strongly urged their fellow Koreans and Chinese people to vote for the conservatives and when asked them why, they more or less said, it’s an African and Muslim problem. Some even went as far as to support the conservatives rhetoric and accuse the Africans as a violent welfare leeching community and the Muslims as followers of a terrorist religion. It’s how they’re raised.

Mosques are allowed in places like Christchurch, New Zealand but are churches allowed in places like Islamabad, Pakistan? If Christian majority countries allow mosques then Muslim majority countries should allow churches, it's only fair.

@mustang22

What are you up to? These guys want to forcefully expel Muslim Somali Bantus (women, children, grandparents) to African countries that they’ve no connections with.
