I don't think that's how it works.... to be part of the "protected class" you need wealth and power both the Jewish and LGBT community are majority from upper class white backgrounds, if anything due to somalis statues we'll realistically end up like the African-american community constantly fighting for rights and being treated equal while being swept under the rug.

Most Somalis don’t settle in MTL cause of the language barrier but the city has some of the cheapest rents and home prices in Canada it has big Muslim community mainly north and west Africans

Many Djiboutians are in French Canada, know lots of relatives and family friends who live there.
My hooyo was about to move there when she was younger but settled in England instead.
