Can you name an animal only native to somalia?

No. But I know one that is native to Somalia and surrounding regions with a fun name:

The second one does look like a Somali geeljire:mjlaugh:

There needs to be something done for the cats and dogs in the magaalo and tuulo, too. Too many of them all over the place being neglected. And folks' attitudes toward them really need to change:

It's a little sad regarding the dogs in particular because it seems Somali nomads did actually historically keep dogs and liked them and we know that our ancient Cushitic ancestors definitely did and even drew them in their cave-paintings. It seems over-time that what Richard Burton describes as the mentality of Reer Magaal Somalis became the norm and dogs are now disliked by all Somalis:

The settled Somal have a holy horror of dogs, and, Wahhabi-like, treat man’s faithful slave most cruelly. The wild people are more humane; they pay two ewes for a good colley, and demand a two-yearold sheep as “diyat” or blood-money for the animal, if killed.

The people should be prioritized first but our folk should be educated on treating these animals humanely like the Turks do.
Amazing and very informative videos. I hope every one took a moment to watch them. May Allah bless the elderly Somali grandpa, amiin! Compassion is what’s missing in our country. May Allah guide us all 🙏🏽
