Can Chadians,Zanzibaris and Comorians be considered Afro Arabs?

Arabs as a whole, like the Baqara, are the second largest ethnic background but since Chad is uber multi-ethnic this only amounts to like 15% of the population. But, to be fair, many of the other linguistic groups like the NS speaking Toubou are clearly admixed people with Maghrebi and possibly also Cushitic admixture based on their material culture. I get that impression from a lot of the other ethnic groups in the country as well, right down to the Niger-Congo Fulanis.

It's in essence a Sahelian nation. Folks who are cultural and sometimes genetic intermediates between true Sub-Saharans and North-Africans (I kinda count Arabians in this definition).

I don't know how representative those Google images are, however, I don't deny that Baggara have some variation.

In either case, the psychology and culture of the Baggara is what matters.

Maghrebis are Berber, Egyptians are Coptic and we are Cushitic. What unites us is the broad Arab identity. Unfortunately for us, we didn't adopt Arabic as our first language, nevertheless we are still Arab through genealogy and other routes.

No they don’t. That has been throughly debunked. It’s 2023. We have genetic testing ect. Ethnic Somalis cannot accurately trace their lineage to Arabs. It’s a myth that our ancestors clearly created to feel closer to the Prophet s.a.w.

Ok, we are Afro-Arab through shared interests, geographical proximity and religion marka. Socio-economically, we are more Arab than the real Arabs.

you can identify as whatever you want. if your 1st language is arabic then youre arab. you can call yourself phonecian chadian berber or whatever it wont change that.
